I can confirm this.
By default the map key is unbound.
Bind the map key. (assignments - inventrory)
Press it, it will switch to a black screen.
To get out of it, press esc and you will go through a loading screen.
It goes to the same black screen whether you have a map fragment in your inventory or not or if it is on the hotbar.
I have not ried the map keybind when you have a full map in your inventory or hotbar.
I think the keybinding for "Map" is just broken.

i think that this is normal without a helmet, 1 or 2 good hits and you are out.
I do not think the item in your hand can get dropped if you do not do an action that requires something else to be in your hands or climbing ladders.

bot the fireaxe and wood splitting axe attack speeds seem pretty normal to me.
They are heavy weapons to swing around.

Tried it with a chemlight and full inventory and 2 firearms (repeater and SKS)
Items did not disappear on logging out and in.
these 3 have been fixed
you can open cans with pretty much anything that is hard
There are bear traps in the game now :)
Also rabbit snares.

What I think happened was that you left before being synced with the hive.
Some time during development it changed so that it forces a hive update upon leaving the server and all unconscious people are killed.
Has this happened to you in the latest patches?

not a bug, you can attach flashlights to weapons with compatible rail systems.
If the item is actually in your inventory, then when putting it away from your hands it will go in your inventory.
If you took the item into your hands then it will drop on the ground. What can happen is dropped items do not show up because of desync/or clip into something/appear far away (other floor, outside)
Lots of servers have a restart warning. Can close now.

When you crouch and go shift + W you fast crouch move. You no longer go into a full upright sprint.

If you pass out from conditions that are deteriorating (low blood) you will not wake up from. You must be stabilized and gotten above the pass-out threshold.
If you pass out from shock and don't bleed out then you will wake up.

Numorous bugs relating to invisible items occupying slots have been fixed. Whatever this was is probably fixed too.
I have a roccat kone pure

using them for the menu bar was no more unresponsive than it is with keyboard. No difference. I'm not sure how Logitech G600 handles its mouse buttons.

Food is plentiful now, though the devs have said that once cooking and hunting is properly in, they will reduce the spawns of non-perishable foods.
the white icons also remain on the hotbar when a hacker steals all your stuff. just happened to me.
Items that you drop and consume get removed from you hotbar now.
Items that you THROW (g) remain as textureless models on the hotbar.

I did not try removed items while you are unconcious, that will have to be looked into too.
The main issue isn't titled in the best way to report this and the english is broken, but I think that this is what they meant.
on the -newui which will be the default, there is no controllers tab, just use XInput which is for the xbox 360 controller.
with -newui, this does not even exist anymore, can close.
This was done because of some technical issues relating to animations/first person models (looked bad) I think and has been changed since.
I think I remembered why this was done. It had to do with the side you keep the weapon on your back. At least it was a part of it.

This is an old bug that was fixed. Players who were killed didn't fall over and kept running/crawling in the direction they were heading when alive.

The animations have been fixed for this.
What happened was that you were playing on a server that had connection problems with the central hive. These were resolved a long time ago.

I just tested this, the item in the vicinity does get consumed. Works also if the item you are consuming is in your inventory.
This is an old issue where if you killed someone and they left the server, their body disappeared. It has been fixed since then.

The issue is that contrary to what BI has said in the past, OCCLUSION culling just does not work, probably never has. One of the devs recently almost admitted to as much.

I've been unable to reproduce this.
During my testing what happened was that some items didn't appear in the vicinity screen or only appeared there for a fraction of a second while dropped.
That was because they dropped out of my vicinity range. The items were usually small items too. One might mistake this for them disappearing. All items were there.
tried it with items I spawned with, picked up on the same server and items I logged in with.
There is a bug where on a laggy server your dropped items disappear + a bug/feature where the items you drop in buildings appear on other floors or outside the building.
I do not think this bug exists anymore or didn't work as described in the original post.
