@Geez Perhaps this could be a great thing to include for 1.26, or maybe just a simplified version where your character doesn't *grunt* when vaulting over hip high obstacles from crouched position.

@Steniboy Hi, I just wanted to say thank you! Thank you for taking the time to do all this testing and write such a well put and detailed report. If this feedback tracker had some kind of medal/contribution reward system, you are most certainly eligible to say the least. Thanks again!
@Geez The way it is implemented right now, you can drink until you almost have to vomit and get a heat bonus for 10+ minutes. It doesn't make sense that drinking chilly water would do that for you. It's also annoying when you have the right level of insulation and it pushes you over the cap everytime you drink or eat.
Aug 15 2024
@Geez Having this set to 'Feedback' I assume this change is intentional. Since this is now Feedback, I'd like to add, that I'm not opposed to the change. If this is now feedback, my suggestion would be to keep the increase in body temperature at the current level, but only for warm food, and lower the effect subsequently for neutral and chilly food, with chilly food perhaps not increasing body temp at all. Thanks!

@Geez I unfortunately have to report, that the bug is still present as of experimental game version 1.26.158551, so I'm asking you to please reopen this ticket. Steps to reproduce are as follows:

@Geez Hey Geez, thanks for the update. This is getting a bit frustrating, but I understand, that there's nothing you personally can do about it. Best regards
Feb 24 2024
@Geez The bug has been in the game for 3.5 years now. It affects the core mechanic of gunplay and can lead to loss of character. Could you please bring it to the dev teams attention once more and/or give us an update? Would be highly appreciated. Thanks, best regards!

Hey @tczm Very good points. The melee system is, in my opinion, not on par with the quality level of the rest of the game. It feels almost placeholder. Having to walk backwards looks weird, especially when pressed up against a wall. Zombies running so fast at you that they will run through you etc. You won't get a statement from the design department here, as you can see, it's just marked as "feedback". Better chance to hop in the chat on one of the future live streams and ask for planned changes around the melee combat.
@Geez I said years ago, that I appreciate this behaviour, but am of the strong opinion that the player needs to be warned. Every road that leads to the edge or actually touches the edge should have some sort of sign that fits with the immersion of the game. For example it could be a crossed out car and muddy ground symbol. It is very frustrating for players, as they currently have no way, of knowing beforehand. ESPECIALLY because the character can actually WALK off the map, he has no reason to assume his car will become auto-wrecked.

@Just4hit2it00 The garden plot that you "place" is just a simulation of digging up soil, so it makes perfect sense to me that if it was rained recently the dug up garden plot doesn't need to be watered. And since it already is watered you can just plant your seeds, so no need to water.
Jul 6 2023
@Geez @Just4hit2it00 What's the issue? When it rains, the soil is already saturated with water, so it doesn't make sense to be able to "water" it. Seems logical and intended.

Hey @Docnix it is a bit scuffed atm. Try being as far away as possible while still being able to access the build prompt. That did it for me. Lmk if it helps :)

@Geez I understand that it might be overtuned or not animated very well, but I like the effect, that the uneven terrain would impact the steering and allow the player to "feel the ground".
@lava76 Holy cow! Not that I would be able to in any way judge the quality, but impressive ticket, straight up delivering a potential solution. Respect!
@malau Hi, did you try the blowtorch on the great helm?
Jun 21 2023
Hey @Geez , thank you for clarifying!
Jun 20 2023
@Geez Sorry for double-posting the ticket, I didn't realize it already existed. Hope it will be fixed soon, by the simple solution provided in my ticket, as I now see this is sheduled for a fix since nearly 4 years.
@Geez Thank you for checking the ticket. Do you know/Can you please tell us, whether this is intended or not?

@papersheet56 Very well made ticket, great job! Funny timing, this issue has been in for a long time and yesterday I thought to myself, I oughta create a ticket for this and filmed my friend presenting the exact same issues. Happy to see you already did all the work! Well done.
Jun 7 2023
I have one as well.
@Jaykay2022 Ah, interesting thanks for the insight. I don't even know what exactly Torque is :D
+1 This is a clip of the same spot affecting my car back in 2019. I was lucky to "only" be flipped over. There are several spots on asphalt roads that I know off the are very unnatrually wave shaped but this is the worst spot I know of. Would be great to see these and especially this one fixed.
@AkiDaWolf I think you should be fine using first and second gear with the light pedal modifier (ctrl) in order to not damage the engine. But perhaps the gap between 2nd and 3rd gear is a bit far. Don't know much about vehicles irl though, so perhaps this is accurate.

Thanks Geez! Great news.
@Geez Thank you! Do I understand correctly that the devs only intend for the bolts to show up in vicinity, but you won't be able to put it in your hands via holding "F"? If that is the case, I would like to ask why. It is possible with literally every single other item in DayZ.
+1 Yes please, I don't see any reason why this shouldn't be possible. Alternatively a Gun Cleaning Kit could be required.
@Geez Bug tested and confirmed to STILL be present as of Stable Game Update 1.21.156201
@Geez RESOLVED
@Geez There appears to be some internal miscommunication on your end, as the "KNOWN ISSUES" Section in the 1.21 Stable Patch notes clearly acknowledges the issue described in this ticket.
@Geez It should be possible to reproduce by completing the following steps.
May 21 2023
@Geez Hey, am I correct in assuming that the issue displayed in this video (recieving stacked car collision damage very fast in a fraction of a second) is resolved by the changes you have made to fix the player audio bug? I'm asking because I'm afraid this ticket might have been mistaken for another one on that issue, due to this tickets title.

@Geez With the addition of the Crossbow in 1.21 this might be the perfect timing to add the feature sugggested in this ticket!
If you are still playing, your wish came true! At least halfway ;D

@JerseyD911 Proxies? What do you mean? Check it out yourself. If you manage to still reproduce the bug, feel free to update it here. Also, I don't fix anything, I'm just a user reporting here, just like you.

@Geez Hi Geez, this looks interesting, maybe an exchange with this modder might further tackling the issue of nighttime lighting in DayZ:
Oct 20 2022
@Geez This bug is still present as of stable game version 1.19.155390, meaning that the core mechanic of gunplay has now been suffering from the same bug for 7 patches straight (since 1.12). There is a workaround as has been described in this ticket, but every DayZ player who doesn't know it, is at a severe disadvantage. To reiterate, this bug prevents you from reloading via the R-key.
@Geez Thank you very much for the clarification!
Oct 7 2022
@Geez Hi Geez, thank you for reviewing my ticket. Am I correct in assuming that the status "reviewed" means, that there are currently no plans to change the way cars interact with magical fireplaces? I assume so, as I believe it would otherwise have been changed to "assigned".
@Nate_LapT Yeah, you what I mean, if you build a fence you gotta start with two big logs which you dig a whole for, but people do that on asphalt roads to creat solid road blocks that are super hard to see.
Sep 27 2022
@Joelf201 Ah I believe I understand now what you are referring to. Your wording wasn't exactly precise, but if you meant the jittering effect after turning that is already being looked into in another ticket and so this would have been closed as a duplicate. Thanks for taking the time to report and trying to help to improve the game!
