Hello everyone.. I am also having this same problem on an AMD 6700xt.. When using the latest driver 23.11.1, the ground clutter appears very close by. When I downgrade the drivers to 23.9.1 the problem goes away. Is this on Bohemias end or AMD's? Im posting a link to a video I recorded..

I think BI brought this in to placate noobs for 1.0, so they don’t have to deal with navigating and getting themselves around the map and getting lost and ambushed by AI every 500m!
This is a major problem that needs to be fixed ASAP
Another big problem are the players who always call new cars or trucks to e.g. drive to the next flag instead of gathering and driving together to a point... they organize themselves... die and repeat that... so we had at Provins already 50 cars from each side ! - Server FPS was for a long time at 2 fps 100 players !

Yeah it's really killing play-ability right now. Small example; I cleared out a point of FIA and built up a tower to better assault coastal points. Hours later when i came back to that point to do exactly that and cap a close by point, all the FIA corpses were still there. The problem is compounded with vehicles that get wiped out and left the whole game in out of the way routes, as well as the broken armory system which has garbage left all over bigger bases. Single digit server frames is not playable, which makes it hard to put in effort if you know the server is gonna chug later and your progress and contributions are meaningless. It's a shame because when the game is running smoothly it all works.
I think we need a hard limit on buildings maybe dependent on a predetermined size of base (Small/Medium/Large). A degradation system for clutter would be nice as well.

Same in official conflict Arland servers, aggravated by Living Quarter Spam where players may place over 10 living quarters in a single base, rapidly converting into a meatgrind and therefore huge ammount of corpses

Update: can be done with manualy using "ParametricMaterialInstanceComponent" and its settings.
Just disconnected a joystick HOTAS X56 and it started working...

Amen, I was going crazy wondering how tf were everyone sneaking past ambushes or how come they used so little vehicles (I love to ambush convoys) and guessing I was just blind, yesterday I got told of this feature... please make them at least server choice, and disable it (along with 3rd person view) in official servers
At the very least fast travel should only work to travel to friendly bases, best removed

I second this. Many players don't realise that they will enjoy the game more without third person exploiting. They choose what is comfortable. The developers must be aware of how players think. I think third person perspective must be tweaked to prevent it from being exploited so excessively in PVP.

I also hate this. This feature is stupid. Needs to go.

The issue has been resolved internally and the fix will appear in one of the upcoming updates.

I would like to second that. Armavision displays enemy gamertags and completely ruins PVP for obvious reasons. Please fix urgently.

Please use English language when reporting issue into the feedback tracker. Also please use proper report form as you have reported this in reforger section while this is a DayZ issue.
As for the issue, it is related to Windows 7. There is a possibility we will not fix this issue as Steam will stop supporting Windows 7 and 8 starting january 2024, making you unable to launch the game on Windows 7 anyway.
