I was driving a BTR nearly full of passengers. I stopped to pick up a hitchhiking teammate and we got hit by a grenade/RPG which killed a majority of everyone inside and myself. I got charged with teamkilling them all and was 30 min auto banned from the server...

I have had this happen with the UAZ plenty of times as well. I'm sure it's happened with other vehicles but those I know for sure it happens with.
