Arma 3 Activity
Jun 26 2016
Hello,
we're sorry for the inconvenience. This issue is caused by the Windows update KB3078601 and there is nothing we can do to prevent the issue at this time. You can either uninstall the update or wait for Microsoft to release a fixed version of the update.
OK, Stable branch is ****ed up too now. It will not play Campaigns, or Showcases or anything at all. They all just freeze during the loading bar.
Hello,
thank your for reporting the issue. It's already fixed internally and the fix will be available in the next update of the each branch.
Swivel targets still do not move in MP after 1.60 update.
Some additional information:
I actually liked this feature when zoomed in with head tracking. It was way too jerky while in a 3D scope and felt more natural to have a reduced sensitivity and range of head motion since you are in a zoomed view. If I want to look around I'll just go out of irons view.
Has been fixed recently.

This affects all types of facewear but only for player units. See also https://forums.bistudio.com/topic/188759-facewear-wont-initialize-when-using-arsenal/
Can confirm. These strange shadows are sometimes even visible through walls.
Can confirm, we are having this same issue
This is a major issue for community member using linux servers!
The same crash occurs if you get a game invite with Arma 3 already launched and you click join game.

I predict if this ticket left open for 21 years, the problem will go away by itself.

Please dont ignore that ticket, no doubt it should be threated as highest priority after Tanoa.
Players should be able to just walk away from such incidents, unless they had a rotor get stuck-up their butt.
I agree. And I think the situation is two fold here. 1) Helicopters always explode on tip-over, when they should not with most being survivable and, 2) aircraft should have different non-explosive damage models.
The thing is that the vehicle free look says it's disabled but it's actually enabled. Then after some game resets when it starts showing right thing you can disable it again and then it works. It shows it's disabled but is off in ground and on for air. There is some UI bug with game settings. This also happens for stream friendly UI where you can't turn it off.
I switched back to 'Sneak Preview" build (why is it that Dev build has "Apex" on the splash screen, but 'Sneak Peak' doesn't ?) because Dev build is too much for my PC to handle. However 'Sneak Preview' will not play Campaign missions. I reverted the East Campaign, the Death Valley mission, and the loading bar froze around 3/4 of the way. I left it 5 mins, but nothing happened, so I Taskmanaged it.
anyway, my suggestion was to replace explosion and wreck with something like this for tip over
actually, most of modern electronics can easily be submerged
The two videos show explicitly what should occur when entering the water, as long as no major electrical components acquire any moisture. I would imagine the landing gear contain all water proof parts, and all wiring is run elsewhere instead of within the bottom of the craft.
