I had a quick look through these posts, but I do not have spare 2 years to read them all.
I have not played this game for nearly a year now, things seemed to work OK before.
My problem is that I can't navigate the menus any more.
I'm using the same joystick/mouse as before.
I thought it was the mouse not working properly, as the highlight is way off from my pointer. Tried a different mouse with same results. But the keys are very erratic as well. Just tapping them often has no effect, and If I keep a key held down the highlight shoots through so fast I can't get it to stop where I want it to.
And I can't get the key bindings up for anything more than helicopter stuff. So infantry bindings are not showing up.
I was playing "SOG" in helicopters before. Not a very good chopper pilot, but that was down to me. But now I can't even get to the key menu to find out what buttons start the chopper up.
I have Windows 11 installed now, I can't remember if I was playing on 10 or 11 before I had this problem (I think it was OK on 11). And I can't make much sense out of the support option.
I use head tracking which is still OK.
Although I have over 200 hours logged on this game, 160 of them are menus/setup time.
I've reinstalled the game and validated it numerous times this week. Tried it with and without MODs, all the same.
As it is this game is unplayable.
Any suggestions for a not very computer savvy dumb ass ??.

This was an intentional change meant to encourage players to venture father into the military areas to find their loot and increases the chances for player interaction.
Yes I agree with you for the effect of torque, but as you say it is upon takeoff, when the heli is on ground it shouldn't move an inch. I think this is a bug that was not adressed since the launch of helicopters. Even when you try to make the heli stick to the ground by applying downward force with the collective it continues to slide on the ground, very annoying.
It really feels like a jerky movement that was not intended.
I could be wrong, but I believe it is likely a feature rather than a bug. In real life, the Mi-8 rotates slightly left upon takeoff due to the torque effect of its motor, although I would agree that it rotates a bit more aggressively in the game then I think it would IRL. Furthermore, the rotation has been occurring since the Mi-8 was introduced into the game nearly a year ago and I have not heard anything from the devs about it in the Discord.
Same issue here. I've been messing around with it and it seems the GPS HUD will work in *some* seats like passengers or riding in the back, but not for the driver or the gunner.

Nope, you are in hip fire. You don't aim down the sight until you press R3, at which point you're in first person and therefore your camera and point of aim are aligned perfectly.
Please don't report mission/mod errors here.

Yes, @RainSenshi , I understand the specifics of this game ☝️ but it's not hip fire. When you press L2, the character aims. The crosshair is where the bullet should go, I guess 🪖
I guess this is "fixed" in the next update. Though I believe that the consequences of running towards a razor brade should be harsher and the movement while in one slower.

The question isn't how to workaround this. I can even patch the server binary if necessary. The server already has configuration parameters for loading missions, mods, Battleye, profiles, and storage from different locations — everything is implemented except for one thing: loading keys. We're just a bit short of reaching the ideal solution!

Gee guys, just colm down a bit. There are 4 variants, with different insulation. If you don't like white one use brown from Chernarus for better insulation. On Sakhal you easily can survive even with summer/sping variant - 'cause of the heat buff. And I like to play Livonia most of the time, but even now 50% of times I get yellow temperature in summer variant, which leads to loosing water faster. Imagime they boost spring/summer insulation - I will be getting constant red in worst case, or yellow all the time. So yea, you need to see both sides of the coin
It might seem counterintuitive for a “primitive” hunting jacket to have low insulation, especially when players rely on protective gear to stay warm in DayZ’s harsh environments. But I appreciated the block blast when I played around with it.
This is still an issue or as of today it is for ps5 could you guys give an update if this issue can be resolved?

Today, the exact same issue happened with the ammunition for the PPSh-41. I took a PPSh and 40 rounds from the container, loaded them, but once I returned to the vault, the ammo was gone. I can upload a video to YouTube, but I don't see the need; it's exactly the same as last time with Suomi.
