NoSignal-Xx added a comment to T198260: 1.29 MAM Logging Removed?.

Hello everyone.
Unfortunately the access to MAM log files will not be enabled again. We are currently looking into different solutions to this problem.
The reason for the removal of this feature is that our solution was not properly complying with all platform rules. Therefore, we removed it, and now we're looking for another solution that would provide the same service.
This was also communicated in our most recent Stream
Regards,
Geez

Please investigate making this an official feature, PC can do this stuff. Console needs it too!

NoSignal-Xx added a comment to T198272: Ps5 freezing performance .

We are getting the rubber banding when driving which is similar to 1.27 and then on top of that these random freezes too. Is it possible that the optimisations done to the server, have created a problem for the client side now? SO you may need to look into client side optimisation to sync the two together.

Basically when this gets out that alt detect is dead, then we're all gonna suffer. Hotfix it please.

Why would you remove this. Many bots use this as a safety feature. If people catch wind that alt detection isnt working, then our servers are no longer safe. Theyll come in waves as they did before we had this. (talking about PVE here ...) I am severley dissapointed about this update and even more dissapointed youd remove such a vital safety feature.

NoSignal-Xx added a comment to T197558: Init.c Access to Console.

I'm sure I'll get a lot of flack for this and maybe even the comment removed, but I'm going to say how I feel. I don't think it'll ever happen. I think it comes down to profits. Giving us access to init.c will cut into those profits. In all of this mess I have been transitioning into DayZ PC.
I can host my own server for absolutely free and get all the control were begging them for. I've learned that PC servers don't have the same lag issues as Nitrado. Which made me have an epiphany. You notice how console servers lag like crazy if you put too much "modding" onto them? Probably because the servers themselves are low end garbage and can barely handle the game. If they give us access to init.c; they would certainly have to upgrade their hardware. Which would eat into profits. I am dropping my server slot count by half each month until they give us the control we pay for or I cancel my service. Whichever happens first. I think we all know how this will go down. Put your money where your mouths are. Stop paying for half measure service.

The problem with this way of thinking is, its detrimental to our communities that we have built up. Yes Nitrado is sub-par. Their support is shocking. But that's not the fault of Bohemia.

There should absolutely be "other choices" for hosting, like there is on PC, not free hosting or self-hosting, cause that won't ever happen for console, but more choice means the companies will have to compete against each other by offering excellent service to retain customers.

With all that being said, this is completely irrelevant to the point of allowing init.c access! :p

I'm with you for the most part except for you know what's also detrimental to our communities? The lack of control over the servers we pay for. The extra mile we have to take to protect our communities.

Trust me I'm not relishing the idea of closing down shop. I have a small community of 50 to 60 players that have come to call my server home. I love the game so I'll just rebuild it on PC but that doesn't help the console community.
I personally don't have the time or energy to pull the extra weight that is required to run a server without these controls anymore. Unfortunately, without some kind of access to the very least moderation tools, the juice is not worth the squeeze .

You've hit another nail on the head with that last paragraph. But yeah, let's not stray from the objective. 🥴

The unfair advantage argument is a bit redundant when we can already utilise ObjectSpawner to fully kit out players if we wanted to. We have so many customisation options a lot of which CAN be used to give unfair advantages. But theyre our servers. We should be able to do what we want with them (Within the monetization poolicy scopes) .

A fellow server owner here. This time from the perspective of PVE which is an extremely popular gamemode. I run Jolly Wolly Survivors and we have a community of volunteers that help moderate and protect our thriving community.

Im aware serverside mods exist unfortunatley console cannot add mods of any kind - which is why I have suggested (in lieu of mods, cause it looks like were not getting them any time soon) the ability to toggle it the same way we can with bases and containers.

Can confirm - even when packed picking them up causes severe lag unlike any other object in game - also playstation - currently running on PS5 and the lag is insane.
