DayZ Console Init.c breach + Suggestions
Feedback, UrgentPublic

Description

Unsure if you are familiar but recently another way to access the init.c files for console servers was found (unable to help with replicating steps as I did not do it nor have any intention to). Nitrado seem to be aware and are going to prevent access.

The reason I make this feedback tracker report is to suggest bringing in the features/options that people were making use of within the init.c file

  • Choose your custom character + the loadout assigned to it. (Not randomized as it is now).
  • Assign loadouts to specific gamertags
  • Assign spawn points to gamertags
  • + More

It's clear that the community want to have these abilities and we're unsure why this hasn't been provided in the most recent update that allowed load-out customization.
I would specifically like to request the feature of load-outs assigned to spawn coordinates. This way we can have proper death match servers without needing to overload the servers with spawning loot in.
I've had the most consistently populated DayZ console server "Conquest" for over three years now with over 170,000+ people whitelisted in that time. This feature would help us tremendously.

With that the option to choose which location you would like to spawn at would be ideal with this.
Perhaps a cycle option in the respawn menu of the coordinates and names of those locations assigned through the playerspawnpoints.xml

Thank you.

This was done intentionally. Allowing server configurations to be applied to individual gamertags could enable server owners to offer unfair advantages for profit and capitalize off said systems. That’s why all server configuration files for console are set up to apply universally, rather than being customizable for individual gamertags.
