Mind sharing your game version (Dev or main branch)? Because as of today, flares are still useless, just checked in the editor with grenade launched flares, mortars, Zeus ones. You might be talking about the flares in the coop mission 04 Heart of Darkness, if that's the case, I suspect that the config of the flares were modified for that very specific mission.

Same goes for the Hellcat actually.
Hi, this issue is fixed in dev-branch, as of RC, haven't tried yet.
Thanks!
Sorry, I personally find them quite better now. It really is subjective anyway. Plus, as Koala said, one topic per ticket.
No offense, but you really sound like you just bought Arma, and would like to have a game designed just for you.
Glad to see that this issue has been acknowledged. No worries TCVM.
I somehow agree, as long as they do the job, I wouldn't complain. But the fact is, it really isn't practical, not only in an aesthetic way, but also because seeing the borders of the triggers is pretty hard to see. The trigger doesn't really stand out from the terrain. Right, I could use the map then. But what would be the point of having a 3D Editor if, in the end, we still have to use the 2D map?
Thanks for being so rude by the way. Bet you didn't even bother to check the screenshots.
Just press L when editing, and a massive light will be casted on the part of the terrain you're looking at.
But that's a good point, it would be cool if we could have as many objects in Eden as there is in Zeus. Because right now, we have the same objects available as in the 2D Editor, and the list was pretty incomplete. Especially the lights, and the projectors.
Btw, if you want to add a light spot, there is one by default in one of the empty groups, must be Camp Endurance I believe. Only workaround I found so far.
Alright. Well. Here is the report, but the game is working correctly again. I have not done anything, and no updates were released. It was the first time I really couldn't play at The Game since Alpha, so I guess two days out of 2 years isn't much of a big deal.
Anyways, hope this report will help, and a massive Thank you for the work you guys are providing.
I am well aware of that, not asking for the very End Game mission modules, but for its content, the RSC in particular (for example : the timer, the stages that appear on the left of the screen, etc). Those are extremely well made, and it would be great if we could use them.
I thought it was an Easter Egg to get your character to shake hands :D
But it isn't a critical issue, I mean, just don't open your inventory while leaning/adjusting your stance and you will be fine.
I've tested the Lynx APDS rounds and I can assure you that its penetration power seems to be correct, except with bodies. Vote up!
Hello, this issue has been reported recently : http://feedback.arma3.com/view.php?id=18411
It will be fixed in the next update I guess.
Just checked, it is indeed an issue. I made a video (not sure if that's really going to help, but it took me 10 minutes so, yeah : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MMWntzcOYJE&feature=youtu.be )
Okay, even though I don't understand why you would need to know the pitch of your offroad, what you are looking for is calling "augmented reality on windshield". I added a picture.
Hello, you don't even need to bother exploding the orca in air, just kill the pilot. I used a GM6 Lynx, the orca was on the ground.
Thanks a lot Terox, trying that right now !
Yes, I completely agree with you Naizarak.
Actually, t shouldn't be difficult to fix, because Blastcore flares work fine. I even suspect them of using the Alpha flares. If they managed to fix it, it shouldn't be a problem for BIS. Again, as the status of this ticket is "reviewed", I doubt that BIS will ever fix it.
I'm not quite sure about that statement galzohar, we've had Arma 3 updates that added totally new features but messed ones not concerned at all about the update. Arma 3 is (well it seems to be at the very least) extremely difficult. (comment (0083889))
Well, what about FIA fighters? What about people who despise NVGs (me included)? Our only options are to either increase the gamma or to use flashlights. Both of them are workarounds (you can't really do anything with a flashlight, except perhaps CQB = You can't rely on only flashlights for night fights, you need something else : flares).
Well, again, this issue is considered to be "reviewed", which basically means that BIS does not consider this thread as an issue. Well, that's what I understand when I see "reviewed".
Could we get at the very least an explanation of why the amount of light provided by flares was reduced (from Alpha to current build)? And why this issue is set as reviewed?
Well, unfortunately Rogerx, there's "need more info", "assigned", "resolved", "acknowledged", "feedback" and "reviewed"... Guess the one that interested us was "acknowledged", "assigned" or "resolved"...
Kazanzakis, it is indeed an issue but it would be easier / clearer for everyone if you created a thread about this issue ;-)
Thanks for all the comments guys, but this issue is "reviewed", so I guess the devs like the way the flares are. I still remember the showcase "Night", where a flare would be fired when the player was detected... Hard times finding a cover in an open field :D Now it's just a hint for the player that he has been detected... Not helping the AI at all :/
Found this video, give it a look : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oOmicMxeH8g
(MILITARY PARACHUTE FLARE, shot from a FLARE GUN) - According to the dude speaking, this flare lights up 15 acres of land (60K m²)
+1 Grumpy Old Man. At least you got he time to fire those mk6 rounds, because the grenade launcher bolts disappears before you can fire a second one (depends of the distance, but this statement is generally true)
Hmm, I think it's too late to ask them to change it now. Consider the amount of work needed in order to create the A-164. You can't just throw it away. And ADDING instead of REPLACING would be unfair to CSAT.
I just uploaded a screenshot, where you can see that my zeroing is 2000m. Range is 2094m. Yet, the bullets are hitting way too low.
Remember to fire each time you try a new value while zeroing.
Neither did I, until that issue!
Indeed, it either means that the server is not up to date or that you are the one not up to date. Just quit ArmA and Steam, check for updates and be patient!
It seems like only player's helicopters will come accross this issue, IAs' are fine.
