100% agree with this - a given for any flight simulation and more to the point, ARMA 3 already has this.

Please see my screenshots from over a month ago. I took considerable time to install 1.22 from the Steam Depot/Manifest and run these tests. The images I posted clearly show this to be an issue. This is even worse on maps like Deere Isle that are comprised of islands and surrounded by water as the effect permeates massive amounts of the island.

While you wait on 1.24 there is actually a workaround for this. Log out with the burning torch in hand and log back in. At that point as long as you keep the touch going it will allow adding rags

@Geez Can this be escalated? I've been seeing the same issue and it's disconcerting to see such high ping for a machine that is literally either the on the same LAN or the same PC.

@Geez I had to amend the bug a bit as I found a flaw in part of my own test.

Geez, I suspect this may be related to T165010 (https://feedback.bistudio.com/T165010)

@Geez do you know how quickly this will be resolved? For both ARMA and DayZ I use my extra mouse buttons for things like zoom, etc.
Thanks!
@Geez I can confirm that once the HOTAS is removed either by disabling or unplugging the device the 'W' key works for the vehicles. However, I've only tried this before entering Reforger, not during gameplay.

More problematic than that though is that smoked meats impart salmonellae poisoning albeit sort of randomly in terms of severity :/

There really needs to be a way to distinguish human fat from animal fat. I've found taht either griefers and/or legit players commandeering a stash are causing problems (see below for what happened to me). It's that or a bug changing the type of fat, or disease bug (my character was wet), or hackers. On that latter note, I logged a bug months ago but nothing has happened (i.e. status change or comment):

Still seeing this issue in 1.09 but I'm pretty sure I see it when the serve is low pop now as I could swear I see it all the time now - even when the server is sub 20 (granted with Shroud and Summit playing low-pop really hasn't been a thing so perhaps I've just not taken notice. I'll do so going forward and report.

Sadly this has been a problem forever. The more players on the server (especially those with high ping) make it worse. With Shroud and Summit playing even vanilla servers have been a problem. I drove cars just fine when the server was 2-40. Today I lost a character I'd kept alive for 2.5 weeks - raided a major base, killed dozens of "bad guys" and the poor dude was done in by a glitched Olga. RIP.

I've had this issue occur multiple times since logging this bug but with all sorts of containers. Yesterday I logged off and I had a dry _sack_ and a cooking pot in my inventory. The cooking pot contained food, the dry bag contained a patrol shirt. When I logged back in all the items inside both storage containers were gone.

I'm having the same issue with canteens and bottles but I'm sure it's connected.

Same issue on Windows 10.
