They are not gone, but their spawning mechanism has been tweaked - now they do not always spawn at set locations, but instead spawn randomly in the same way heli crashes do.

Also make sure that your audio drivers are up to date and other applications are not running when DayZ is. Changing your audio device might help as well.

This is most likely caused by something going wrong when downloading the latest update. Please verify the data: Steam Library - Rightclick on DayZ - Properties - Local files - Verify integrity of game cache.

the way this currently works, is that the character retains its stillness/movement from just before the animation begun throughout the whole animation. I've checked and there is no forced running if the character is standing still when starting the animation - your issue was presumably caused by desync.
The problematic implementation itself is being worked on and will be changed eventually - please be patient.

The impact sound of a normal attack will sound the same as if you had shot the tree, because the impact sounds are placeholders.

This is quite peculiar, we have thought about what could possibly be causing such an issue and honestly have no idea - not to mention that we have never encountered anyone else with the same issue.
Would it be possible to perform a complete reinstall of the game? Please make sure to remove all the local data, including those in C:\Users\<Name>\AppData\Local\DayZ\ and C:\Users\<Name>\Documents\DayZ.
