Game won't launch via steam, missing dll
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

This is an experimental build error...

I download the most current experimental build (0.53) then try to launch the game but nothing happens. I get the little icon to show that my PC is trying to do something but nothing opens up.

I then try to launch the .exe file directly from the DayZ folders but have an error message stating that MSVCP120.dll is missing from my system.

I have tried verifying game files with no avail.
I can launch and play the current stable build (0.52) with no problems at all.

Hi RagedDrew and sorry to hear about your trouble.
Would it be possible to try downloading the .dll and letting me know if it helped? Described e.g. here http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_other-performance/msvcp100dll-missing/9a687c31-0619-4ee9-b511-020985e29b5f.
Regards,
Andy

Hi Andy, thanks for the help and downloading the right version of Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package for my system has fixed this issue.

This can now be closed.
