Yeah, I went on yesterday after the update and was getting desync out my ass. Invisible zombies, rubber banding and general laggyness (obviously not FPS).
seems something they did just cocked around with some of the desync supressing code.
SUGGESTION: No.
Either a logout bug or the thing where the main server and your client are out of sync so you get a new character.
@mottsboy, no. This is for reporting bugs, Such as VIEW ISSUES/REPORT ISSUES and your rank being REPORTER. The reporters get feedback from other reporters/devs for their bug reports. Go on the forum if you want to suggest terrible ideas like this.
This is an Alpha. You should have known that when signing on to this and the 1.7million other people knew this. If you don't know what an alpha is in regards to video games.
It means that the game is in a VERY EARLY phase of production just past the developmental build phase. This means it will be buggy as fuck and lack content. The content will be added and bugs will be removed in time, it will then enter the BETA phase.
In the beta phase there will be less bugs and more content. This is where the game fleshes out to become the promised product.
Please just be quite if you know nothing of this.
As for hiring new people. They have hired an entire team to work on the hunting/foraging mechanics and physics. Just stop before you make even more of a fool out of yourself.
@Prohpet2413 I've known people to fall off of a curb and break their leg. It stands to reason in game that if something breaks your leg it probably has enough force to break stuff in your trousers too.
In the future don't run around when near stairs.
Yeah, if your computer shuts down it is most likely that your graphics card is overheating and forces a shutdown before any real damage can be done to the GPU or surrounding components.
@Nam. How can it be tense? The zombies don't see you unless you're in their face waving a flashlight around, people don't see you unless you're waving a flashlight around. You can barely find loot unless you wave a flashlight around.
It's currently a mode where you're one of 3 things. Blind as fuck. Giving your position away with a light source or using the gamma trick which still leaves you searching for loot like a blind man looking for his shoes.
Or you know. Just tap Right Click again so you're not aiming down sight.
No, they're not going to remove the space to ready melee weapon feature. In real life you need to swing a weapon backwards before you can swing it forward and do any noticeable damage. Pressing space bar is like preparing to swing.
And while your desync may be 0 it doesn't mean that your client and the server don't lose contact for a few seconds.
You get teleported back because of desync, The game puts you back to where your client last communicated successfully with the server, just so you don't run through a wall and fall to your death.
And the zombies going through objects will remain like that for a while as zombies aren't top priority to the alpha.
You're kidding right? I found 40 SKS ammo and 2 SKS clips containing 10 rounds each in NWAF.
You need to right click again, the game still thinks you're aiming down sight and thus can only walk or sprint.
Pal, there have been hundreds of warnings not to get the game because it will be glitchy. Many from Rocket himself. One in the steam store page when you look at the game and finally one INGAME when you are loading in which you have to acknowledge.
You are responsible for spending money on a glitched to fuck ALPHA. Deal with it.
It was happening to me, I fixed it by switching to experimental and then switching back to normal mode.
Double post - (sorry)
I seem to have fixed it by downloading the experimental patch and going back to normal.
Yesterday my friend was getting this same problem. DayZ stopping working several times in a row, so he reinstalled DayZ and it's working fine for him now.
However mine started doing it 3 hours later. It started with me (presumably Desyncing out) not being able to see/hear anything. My friend was apparently next to me getting shot at and shoot, but I saw and heard nothing. Then 5 minutes later DayZ stopped working. This happened 2 more times before I reinstalled.
However this didn't fix my game like it did his. I still got DayZ stopped working and I couldn't see him still.
I've added the files you asked for called DayZ dxdiag.
It's happened to me 3 times now. All of which I've been heavily geared with 2 friends, then I spawn on the coast 2 hours away with nothing. Quite annoying. But it is an alpha after all. Things like this are to be expected.
This is a duplicate of 50 other topics, use the search function. To get around this until it is fixed, unload your fire arms before you log off. When you log in the sound won't happen and you can just reload your guns.
This topic has been made 30 times over. Try looking for it? Also to get around this open boxes of ammo away from other sources of ammo. So have the stack of ammo in your pants, open a box of ammo in your bag.
As far as I'm aware zombies only stand static attacking air is when a player logs off somewhere and the zombie seems to think he is still there.
This is a duplicate of many different reports. But to get around this place your ammo boxes in seperate places IE pants, jacket, bag. Then open them.
You can get rid of this pesky noise by unloading all your guns before logging out. Upon login the noise will not be present and you can just reload your weapons again.
Is there any point in posting every bug fix? For all they know it might just be averted for now. Might come back with the next update, or might even bring in even more bugs.
Well Real Virtuality is the ARMA 2 engine HEAVILY modified for the use of DayZ. They mod just ran off the basic ARMA 2 engine So..... Yeah.
This has been suggested for years.
This is for bug reports, if you want to make suggestions go to http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/forum/128-suggestions/
Pretty sure this is a duplicate of a previous report. However to get around this for now drop your ammo and then open the box and pick it back up. Sometimes it can be frustrating doing this because of a delay with seeing dropped items though.
In the current build you can't hit zombies in buildings. I have to aim for their feet to try and hit them.
It's not a problem, it's a means of defending yourself against ONE zombie at a time.
It's the sound of a duplicated report with a very simple client side fix. Unload all your weapons before log out and when you log back in the static sound will be gone. Simply reload your weapons and be on your way.
Currently to fix it you press escape, options then click on video and it should fix itself. You can also do this to get rid of the pesky blur on your screen after 1 punch from a zombie.
Dickydan is a fitting name. You're seriously complaining that someone killed you? In DayZ? Without warning? And then you go on to complain about how an ALPHA doesn't have much to do in it? 10/10 Jimmies Rustled.
There's a glitch where if you run against the wall everyone else sees you as running through the wall and then running statically about 10 meters away. Perhaps you were shot by someone on the other side of the wall who then looted you.
Same, makes it hard to play on crowded servers in crowded places.
They do spawn loot, it's just the loot falls through the floor. An example of this is on top of schools. You can (or could) Vault into the little lift on the very top, go prone and find guns/ammo. They need to properly fix the collisions on items on the environment.
Found 2 mags in the NWAF.
This is downright stupid. In a survival of the fittest scenario you wouldn't have a mental breakdown because you killed someone so you could live. 10/10 bad idea.
The devs can't do anything about that. It's just some power hungry fuckwit abusing it as per usual.
You sir, are a cretin. 1 for trying to run it on such TERRIBLE specs and 2 for paying into an ALPHA which has no optimizations done to it and then complaining about bad FPS? God damn you're a special kind of stupid.
Yeah I force fed my friend some water and the cunt ate the bottle too.
I'm pretty sure he has never said that. These are his intentions - http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/156129-confirmed-upcoming-features-for-dayz/
The game was not meant to be played like this be4st. It was meant to have zombie and loot re-spawns. But it currently doesn't.
Loot doesn't respawn yet. It spawns at the start of each server reset (every 4 hours). Try hopping to a different server for loot.
The loot sometimes falls through the floor. For instance, I'm on the 2nd floor of a pub and I drop my trousers as I've picked new ones up. They disappear only to reappear on the bottom floor.
The 5-15 second delay on items showing after you've dropped them occurs when the server is several hours in and is in need of a restart.
Oh noes David.Ross055. You have to drag the item back to your designated spot! WE HAVE A GAME BREAKER LADIES AND GENTLEMEN!
This is the same for the castles. The loot spawns under each floor and if you look up to the ceiling you can see the items just floating there.
The saturated screen happens every time I log on/change servers and I got the grey screen for a 2nd time today, again opening my inventory removed the effect.
If you vision goes to blurry straight away you might be sick. Try eating painkillers, charcoal tabs or vitamins. Should allow you to regain health when you are hydrated and energized.
They can see you through walls because they're not fixed to not go through walls yet. They don't perceive walls as being solid objects so they see and run through them.
Lost my character. Myself and 2 friends were in Gorka and the server we were on reset, so 2 minutes later we reconnect, they're fine but I spawn inland at Kamyshovo. Tried to relog to see if it was just an error reaching the database but I was still a fresh spawn losing a everything.
