as the amount of days the character has survived, hair/facial hair will grow. the player can judge how long other players have survived by hair length/ facial hair length. you could have the option of cutting your hair with a knife or something if you didn't want it but it could act as a "status" for some players. kind of a "don't fuck with me" thing. just an idea i had for your game which i thought may be pretty cool to include. {F30471} {F30472}

also this could be used in a hostage situation to "humiliate" or "de-status" a captured player by the captors cutting the hair of the hostage.
do you know why the idea was rejected? from what i have read it is due to the Real Virtuality 3 engine not allowing it. the same engine is being used for the standalone version but as it is a standalone game, not a mod, the engine can be completely customized (and has been apparently). therefore the idea has more feasibility as the engine can be adapted a lot more easily. and from the feedback attached, the idea discussed in forums seems pretty well liked. i was merely re-surfacing the idea due to the changing circumstances.
Well Real Virtuality is the ARMA 2 engine HEAVILY modified for the use of DayZ. They mod just ran off the basic ARMA 2 engine So..... Yeah.
