In the meanwhile, please try a couple of possible workarounds:
- Launching Steam and DayZ as Administrator
- Launching DayZ in another Windows compatibility mode
- Ensuring your drivers, especially graphics card, are up to date
- Changing the resolution and windowed (=1) values as described here http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/203970-resolution-problems-read-here-before-posting/ and then launching the game
- Reinstalling the game
- Verifying the data (Steam Library, rightclick on DayZ, Properties, Local files, Verify integrity of game cache)
