Hello caizero.
Can you try to delete the appmanifest_221100.acf file and the full contents of the C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\DayZ folder and then try to re-install again?

Geez

you Guys are the best devs
as for the issue that you mention with the movement occurring also when someone nearby logs out, we will investigate this internally.

Geez
Hello leshy.
This is not a bug but intended feature implemented on the public official servers to prevent server hopping into other player bases and other server hopping related issues. The only way to prevent the movement of your character is to stay on the same server.

Yeah, THAT ALSO EATS YOUR CARS ;( in all seriousness: @Geez Can you please give us an update, this problem is breaking ONE of the TWO main ENDGAME GOALS, for the game. It is my personal endgame goal and it's BROKEN and FRUSTRATING. An update, any update on the status please!

Hello jamielou.007.
Adjustable view distance is currently not planned. The only way to make the fog less aggressive would be to adjust the fog server side, which is adjusted by the following script inserted into the init.c file of the server mission.
Mod version mismatch, make sure the server and client have the same mod version, also make sure server folder Keys has current .bikey's
If it happens on vanilla too, you are loading some excess pbos, delete client addons and dta folder, verify integrity through steam
verifySignatures were not really verifying the mods before except some basic key checks and equalModRequired is technically deprecated since arma 2, it was a band aid on an existing problem. Even when you combined the two, it had plenty of security and functionality issues.
Well it is even fixed on Stable, so one step ahead! :)
They tend to not waste time on temporary fixes
Why dont't we seriousely increase the time it takes to take down a wall? It can work as a temporary fix until the better one is implemented.
Hello everyone.
This issue has been fixed internally and should already be fixed on the current experimental version.
Please let us know in case the issue is still present.

Geez
