However I would like this being looked into, it also happened to me AFTER a clean install and AFTER "verifying integrity of game files..." via steam. NOTE: This is not the actual menu, which can still be opened and will then overlay on top of this static graphic of the menu shown in @michael.schmalzl screenshot.

One more thing, I've had this happen in former versions as well.

And it seems it's getting introduced from 1PP Server....
I never get this on 3PP Servers.

One more thing, I've had this happen in former versions as well.

I wrote the other report, it wasnt happening rarely for me. Happened a few times in an hour. The server crashes didn’t help.

The last Patch made it even worse...
I have a 27" Monitor wich running windows on 25xx x 1440p but i always play Games on 1920 x 1080 and im not using HW AA.
Verify wont work and deleting the DayZ Document-Folder ain't working.

Is there a Workaround which is working ?
Not even a PC Reboot working :(

Somehow I had gotten rid of the issue but now after the patch it's back. Nasty one, this is.

I Could finally Solve it in not changing the Resolution down to 1920 x 1080 and playing with 2K now and even with HW-AA turned on.
So it seems to do with downscaling Resolution.
On Stable i play always 1920 x 1080 with same settings without problems.

Can i Provide more information for you Guys to troubleshoot this ?

Still got this as of the latest 1.04.151974. Verified files, restart and everything.

I think the bug related to queue gui. When connecte to official server without queue gui, it is without this problem. When connecting and ther is a queue gui, then problem appear. Please investigate&fix.

Deeply tested problem and its definitely related to queue gui. When connect to server without queue - no problem. When connect to server and wait in the queue, problem appeared.

Please fix it as quickly as possible!!!

@Geez Yeah, we're gonna need one FULL server for that. Might I suggest, you temporarily turn off all experimental servers but one or two, or alternatively make them all only 5/10 slots?

Need some experimental server with queue, all are low pop/empty and queue gui is skipped. Cannot test it :(

1 test sever with regular restarts, low number of slots , would be the best way to test it. Bit silly tying to test such a huge bug on experimental after the main patch has gone stable. You’re lucky to find 10 people on a server at a time

I too had this problem last night. Deleted configs, checked file verification. It was on a queued server. Previously I got this every time I did a verify but after a successful connect it would rectify after joining again. Tried multiple times last night and had the overlay issue on each one.

@Geez I appreciate the fast approach in fixing this big issue, but PLEASE, could you not foresee, that we wouldn't manage to get a server full now, expecially since we can't even see exact player amount, so we can't even pick the fullest one?

I had the same problem but i have lowered my in game video settings to medium and i can play but as soon as i change to high or extreme i get either a black screen but can hear movement and see my health etc or it freezes on the last known frame and wont resume until i change back to medium video settings in game.

Workaround of this bug:

Run DayZ launcher, options and set server ip and port manually...
