No, seriously: I believe, the reporter wants a slower night-view-enhancement over time (w/o NVG), and a much better viewing w/o NVG when not being blinded in the adjustment-time (10mins).

Right now, its about 1min until you reach your max-nonNVG-view-setting...

Ok i can't update it anymore since it's assigned, but my framerate issue is definately tuned down.

This is what i did:

  1. I hit autodetect on video settings
  2. I fine tuned it by turning post processing from low to off for better fps and i switched texture quality from normal to high.

Basically you just have to hit autodetect, finetune that and hope it helps.

Walking through forests or just looking at them drops the framerate quite a bit though. And zooming in while aiming down your sights can also make the game stutter a lot, i hope you guys can optimise that.

Hi Kid18120, i think i already had that on and I think that's recommended for my specs. The game is very playable last time i tested it so i'll update the thread with my settings, thanks for suggesting.

I uploaded a picture from the tower pointing out the window. I was able to reproduce this on more time by croughing towards the table and window (between them i guess). I got ragdoll effect and flew to the ground dead.

If you look downwards while swimming on the surface you can see your arms
If you're swimming with a Wetsuit and rebreather you swim in "tactical" stance with just 1 arm in front to keep the stability, which is intended.

When you are swimming with fins you almost never use hands to swim. When you stop to swim hands are around you.

Thanks, I didn't know that's the reason. I thought mods work independently and load only when necessary. Now it sounds having much more sense.

You aren't forced to use 3rd party tools, you can do it from the game anyways !
Also, as server admin, i can assure you that allowing players to join your server with mods that are not needed can potentially lead to server instability (server "reads" every single pbo / bisign file you have loaded upon joining).

  1. I did. It doesn't matter.
  2. Why should I use 3rd party software and relaunch game every time at all? It sounds like a kludge. And I'm tired of this arma 2 buggy shit with all these updaters that are taking hours to set up and never work properly.
  3. It's not their business what other islands and mods I have for use on other servers. Imagine that CS servers would ban you for having any maps except one you're playing on. And you have to delete/move/disable all of them every time you enter another server. Just plain ridiculous. And that's what we have now.

  1. Use modfolders to add mods
  2. it's a server side option to check and kick who doesn't have the exact same config
  3. Use ArmA3 launcher to quickly enable/disable mods

Because its lot of bugs engine... utilize 10% of cpu and eat 2mb ram every sec with hard hdd load.... its arma3))))
load maps from hdd......... 600-700mb in ram... where logic!!!???

I have tested for this on my laptop and have not been able to reproduce:

Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit

Are you sure it isn't windows 7 auto-volume leveling feature ?

  1. Right click on sound icon (windows one, not driver one)
  2. Go to playback devices
  3. Move to Communications tab
  4. Select "Do nothing" from the available options
  5. Test again

Windows 7 communications leveling is already set to do nothing.
Also, as mentioned it only happens in Arma 3.

Yeah I got the / and # wrong but otherwise it works as I typed it. And on a client hosted game the host can easily boot anyone they want through the player menu.

Unable to reproduce this issue in the latest dev build. Since this ticket has gone a long time without attention, it is presumed to no longer be valid and is thus being closed.

Autohover is game feature that doesn't simulate anything in real life. It is just game feature that modifies game controls to assist player stabilize the chopper.

I would like to see this fixed, if it so happens that i land in water, and I even survive it, then I would like to be able to get out as quick as possible, especially from the AH (little bird) since it is easy to get out and has no doors that could possibly stop me in reality from getting out.

Also being able to jump out hovering over water building rooftops and ground. (think dropping off divers, troops) Not saying pilot and co-pilot should be able to, but surely passangers should. But i think theres a seperate ticket for that.

Once the eject button is implemented (when we get parachutes actually) we will be able to get out of the chopper at any time!
Need to make sure it will be possible in water too actually so not an useless ticket.

Please try use -nobenchmark command line option.
Right click on Arma III in your Steam Library>Properties>Set launch options

It can be problem with firewall or antivirus software, they can block start of Arma III.

Sorry to bump this again but it really annoy me. You could have {this unassignitem "Nvgoggles"} as default, would solve the issue (or my issue ;p )

Of course as soon someone runs out of space on the inv (or just straight on), they will put it on its slot again. Thats why I suggested a timed or hour dependent to *show* it.
