At points during gameplay (have not pinpointed exactly what causes the problem), I experience 5 to 10-seconds of 1 to 3 frames per second (sometimes causing the game to freeze completely, forcing ctrl/alt/del). This happens periodically throughout the game.

I did not have this problem prior to the latest patch.
