i don't think they plan on fixing this either, we will continue to get ONLY small Changes. I imagine... I hope they increase their budget and amp up to "phase 3". cuzz this game could be 100 times better if they did.

I think "reviewed" means really more like... "We seen it but don't plan on making changes to it until after retail launch or maybe not even then either."

this should rank near the top of the to do list since it affects most players gaming experience in a negative manner, including mine, i think it should be replaced with a more less clumsy idea

the water is still garbage....
the worst for me is their way of "optimization" is killing the dam graphics.
decals from bullets look crappy like a dirt blur wtf. the distant textures suck

Tracers still dont illuminate environment as a light source.

dont forget about that annoying dam aimbot shit above

BTW i'm pretty sure "reviewed" means ignored

i don't think they know how to make the water beautiful and realistic. It's obviously going to continue to look like poo, because i doubt it was in their budget to fix

Despite waves or what ever it is supposed to be or look like, I'm not even convinced that Arma even has water. The water I see and have always seen in Arma is complete child's play.

As a matter of fact Battlefield 2 had better more realistic water. and that game is over 10 years old. This water is absurd rubbish

i don't expect to play on ultra high settings, I'm simply testing the game, which is part of the reason I bought the Alpha, on a side note I don't play COD 17 hours max and about 5 hours on BF3.

yea i was disappointed when i flew the Comanche in arma3, i understand it's beta and things are being worked out etc. this ticket is correct the Comanche is very agile, and should be tweaked then, I Can't wait to test the new Comanche flight abilities

yea the optic is redundant in 3rd view lol and simply annoying, we want the full NVG green screen baby! whats wrong with that? you cod players can still have your 1st view dont hate! but.... ofcourse the 3rd person haters are out in full force

since 3rd person exists to begin with, its ideal and better that the NVG circle optic is not shown in 3rd person view.

the ones who would down vote this are the ones who think its not a priority over others bugs and features etc, but that idea is far stretched since the changes requires only near minutes.

the other down voters hate 3rd person view do begin with.

Since 3rd exists which i support 100 percent. It makes perfect sense to remove the NVG "optic only" e.x (circle with black edges) from 3rd person view.

Any Game developer would say the same unless bias on this thread

I'm pretty sure it has do do with the computer running the server.
The host probably is blocking ping packets: Internet Control Message Protocol (ICMP)

Try to allow WAN ping packets or WAN ICMP in your router/firewall settings. Then host the server.

This is a major thing I am dieing for personally, it is spectacular to see tracers illuminate the ground (mainly concrete sidewalks, roads or walls) as they travel!

Even the old game Americas Army version 2 had this lol

this was hapening to me all day yesterday on the current stable version. My mission uses the new respawn templates and after i respawn i have grenades but cant throw them. there is lines of interest in the .rpt file

have Karel take a look at this issue. I'm pretty sure he can reproduce the issue and fix it within an hour max

i understand your issue but I believe this is the correct way to do it

Code:

_unit addItem "NVGoggles";
_unit assignItem "NVGoggles";

this adds the image to your gear so u can see u have NV available and it also will work as intended

if you want binoculars use this

_unit addweapon "Binocular";

Note: this method i only tested on the current beta

I think a players experience should be as fun as possible, not having your view freaking impaired to an unplayable state. Blinding SUN is absolutely annoying.
