Simply set "Objects Quality" to "Ultra" and run it.

Thanks for the feedback, but did you actually try the script? I did - and it's far from terrible.

Actually watching the arma engine change the LOD of nearby objects (<500m) looks much worse. Besides objects will always pop in at some point unless your object view distance is equal to your overall view distance.

This feature would be optional - for those who demand a better utilization of their hardware (http://feedback.arma3.com/view.php?id=716) and for those who want to see objects when looking at distant areas through scopes.

Nope - just put some time into finding reasonable settings that work for every scene.

Disable anti-aliasing and shadows, lower postprocessing and object view distance and you'll get more FPS in scenes with a high density of foliage.

I can confirm what Provenance is saying. Both zoom in and zoom out work fine independently of the players head position / rotation (using TrackIR 5 with TrueView off).

Enabling TrueView inverts the zoom direction with the head rotated beyond +/- 90°, like described above.

In combat pace your weapon is by default in a ready-to-fire position.

If you then press "ToggleRaiseWeapon" it'll go to a muzzle averted position and you're stuck there. Unless you press "Fire" which will bring it up again.

Fix: Switch "Antialiasing - Transparency" to "Off" in the NVIDIA Control Panel.

Combat pace needs to be OFF to reproduce this!

  1. Equip any full-auto gun
  2. Press and hold "Move forward" (default key: W)
  3. Press and hold "Fire" (default key: Left Mouse Button)

PS: I agree with Spruten, movement speed should switch to combat pace while firing.

And then we can talk about which settings have the greatest effect on fps in this scene with this hardware.

I created a few Benchmark Scenes in the editor and put them into an easy to use "Benchmark" user profile:

Simply extract this archive into your "Arma 3 Alpha - Other Profiles" folder.
Then change the in-game profile to "Benchmark" and run the missions from the Editor (Editor -> CTRL+O -> Select Mission -> Preview).

My results on Intel 2500k @ 4,4 GHz and GTX 670 (314.07) are:

@Grom, the developers are not responsible for the stupidity of their customers.

Leave the driver settings untouched unless you know what you're doing and you won't end up with blue foliage.
