I did think of the IR Laser, but in my case only leader roles have IR Lasers but it could still be added!

Same problem .everything duplicates now with all add**** commands in MP
Maybe all add commands become global after patch and i should use it only with ((isServer)or(isDedicated)) then {*****}; ?????
Yeah japa probably made those global. The thing is, people should be careful using init.

This update crashes the client. What happens is this:
You select server from server-browser. You join server. You select faction. You select your class. You click okay. Instead of loading into the server you get a CTD.

My friend and i noticed the same.
As we tested we found out that the issue not exist for a couple second after mission start.
We are seeing the same. Made a very simple mission with just a couple of Hummingbirds, a BLUFOR rifle squad at the airprot and an Opfor rifle sqaud a bit to the west.
Two of us joined the server (no mods running on server or our systems) and hopped in one Hummingbird and ordered the AI into another. Took off in the Hummingbird, and flew around. The other guy in the Hummingbird never saw it take off. We never synced up after that.
Its a serious issue that has broken all our games over the past week.
I added this "guaranteedUpdates = false;" into my server config. The desync seemed to be ok for the past two days and then today out of the blue desync on the server is so bad that players leave after a short while. This is a real problem. I am spending a lot of money for the server rental. Ever since the update the server traffic has declined. When can we expect a real fix for this problem ?
Confirmed this is happening with my friends and I. Desync goes from 0 to 100k either right from the beginning or a few minutes in, especially when there's AI entities involved.
We're running a listen server with only two other people. On a simple convoy ambush mission, when the convoy arrives all sorts of wacky stuff happens to the other two people, like floating tanks, warping vehicles, and so on.
There are few servers where I haven't desync problems and I am not really sure why. For example, Blackwing server run OK for me (Altis life 5.0).
Its not happening to everyone.

The issues described are still present.
We tested the Perf1 Client + Server on Dwardens Chimera H Server with the above referenced game-mode. We could not get enough people together to test it properly (we imho had 8 at maximum).

I don't know why this issue isn't at the top of the list in the most up-voted. It's one of the most downer factors that make people abandon the franchise...raise awareness!

For me, desync kicks in after the 3rd player joins the server. Everyone who joins after player #3 gets 100000 desync.
I like many others have been suffering from massive amounts of desync ever since the last update... All of arma 3 MP is completely unplayable for me.. This needs to be fixed ASAP

We are experiencing these issues too. The desync and rubberbanding just slowly creeps up on you and eventually kills the server.
Same for our server desync maxes out then go again but after 1 hour of uptime its not playable.
We have changes the basic.cfg but still nothing its since the 1.26 update

Sorry, DEV version that is, started with the tuesday patch i guess.
I tried it on my server too. But still the same extreme desyncs. It is unplayable with more than 20 players.

This strange issue seems to relate to the pathing issue mentioned in ticket 0020349 and the resetting of the launcher to defaults - i.e. clearing all settings in the launcher including addons. After resetting the launcher to defaults the sound issue seems to have been resolved.(?!) This ticket can be closed.
Opening a door or a portal is boring! One chance of 2 to be on the wrong side and be pushed by the door. Real life can't be copied in many aspects. So, this solution is a smart one!

The good thing is that the doors open so quickly in ARMA 3 that you would hardly notice this event occurring :-)
It would result in much more fluent gameplay while performing building clearances.
Haha, that's true, I'm a true gentleman.. But I use a lot of doors, mostly in CQC, and I don't want to stand right in the door way anyway to prevent me being shot.
Is door mechanism a problem for you in battle situation as well, or are you talking more about 'regular' door use?
It's not that regular use is not important, I think that Arma3 is more than combat.
I never have a problem with doors, why don't you stand a little bit to the side when opening them instead of pulling the door in your face?
You don't have to stand to one side and prepare to open a door for yourself in real life, that's like being chivalrous to yourself lol :-s
You just do it without thinking due to your own spatial awareness :-)

How to find correct crashdump file:
Try to make the crash happen
Look into crashdump folder
Upload crashdump with latest date in name (crashdump is rpt + bidmp + mdmp file with same name). Please try to provide as many crashdumps as possible, it helps us investigating the problem in a big way.

You have couple of mods loaded, does it crash without them activated?
I have them activated a long tinme and no crashes before update. Nevermind pls deal with MP add**** duplication its asap
I doubt this is permission issue. I'm logged in to Windows using normal domain account (non-admin) and using that account I'm able to access files from the network share. I'm running Arma3 without admin accounts.
Test #1 - Following test was made
using command prompt:
net use i: \\storage-server\share\path
the I copied local disk contains of the Arma3profiles to that folder path
Next I changed the arma3 shortcut to have -profiles=i:\arma3profiles instead of -profiles=C:\users\<local_account>\arma3profiles
Started Arma3 from the icon without profile issues. I also checked that the files in that path were accessed as the timestamp was updated. (Files at C:\users\<local_account>\arma3profiles were not).
Then removing the I: -drive using
net use i: /delete
Test #2 - \\UNC -share
When I opened Windows explorer then expanded Libraries (from left) and clicked
properties on the documents (still at the left) I got Documents Properties window. It shows two Library locations. First is My Documents, which is pointed to \\storage-server\share\path.

Next I changed the arma3 shortcut to have -profiles=\\storage-server\share\path\arma3profiles instead of -profiles=C:\users\<local_account>\arma3profiles
Same error message as in description.
--> Arma3 does not handle UNC paths, workaround is to store profile on local disk under c:\users\<local account>\somearma3directory and use -profile with the shortcut?
And just to clarify if I test
dir \\storage-server\share\path\arma3profiles
no access errors
mkdir \\storage-server\share\path\arma3profiles\test
directory is created, no access errors
rmdir \\storage-server\share\path\arma3profiles\test
directory is deleted, no access errors
So its because your sharing your "My Documents" folder, Arma is unable to save there due to... file/folder protection?

Yeah probably fixed in 1.30 cause 1.28 is just a hotfix and doesnt have content from the 1.27 dev branch
