This is working as intended, I hope. Because in real life putting a pin back in doesn't stop the fuse that has been lit by releasing the grenade from your hands.
This appears to be fixed now in 1.3
I hope this gets fixed soon, right now helicopters are able to disengage from ground fire too easily.
I would agree on this ticket, it's a very annoying thing to see.

Currently there is no planned fix for this.
I think this in fact was a good change and long-needed given how fast characters are in the game. Maybe it’s a tad too loud but previously it was far too easy to run up on someone before you even hear them with the old audio (as frequently complained about by summit1g). The new changes make this less of an issue.
Changing active rocket pods
The thing is, its not very difficult to get access to these weapons, you just have to make a couple of logistic runs or attack a base. The thing is, its to prevent people to just go lonewolf as soon as they arrive on the servers.
Also does this occur with multiple weapons or just one?
