Our group started to have the same problem couple of days ago. We have a very different rigs (mine is Intel Core i7, GF660, 8GB RAM) and - that's the strange thing - 2-3 players from our group (incl. myself) experience crashes almost simultaneously, maybe with 3-5 minutes difference. Sometimes Windows reports that videodriver was not responding, sometimes Arma just freezes.
Upwoted, don't know why BIS won't fix it.
It's already possible with http://community.bistudio.com/wiki/setViewDistance . I saw some Insurgency missions which utilizes this function and allow players to select desirable view distance when they on foot, in car or in plane/helicopter.
Didn't notice that there is "Dynamic View Distance" part in this video (starts at 1:40). Upvoted, that feature would be very useful especially for UAVs.
Not permanently, it's possible to free the vehicle by driving on other surface or rough terrain.
But still that bug needs to be fixed. Upvoted.
- I'm not provoking you, just pointing (maybe in a little bit harsh manner) on the fact that most of your suggestions was already reported like hundred times and there is no need to create another ticket with zero new information. As for medical system - if you had bothered to at least check top voted tickets (not to mention searching for similar tickets), then you'd probably figured out that there is already proposal for realistic medical system with 700+ votes and dozens of comments with ideas and discussions.
1-3. Feedback Tracker is not really a right place for such type of dispute.
NOOOOPE i cant
Don't worry pal, if you can't control your actions then local admins will eventually do it for you! :)
HEEEEEEY, it would be really-really awesome if you stop spamming Feedback Tracker with useless junk, most of which already reported/suggested!
Because tank's main gun is not deisgned to be an AA-cannon.
But it could be a more complicated bug. I noticed that T-100's for some reason attack empty AH-9 after I (playing as BLUFOR unit with setCaptive = true) land and disembark. They don't pay attention to it when I flew around and they don't attack other empty vehicles (cars, apcs) as well. Tested it a couple of times but didn't figure out why T-100's crew hates AH-9 so much (and probably other aircrafts too).
Spent two weeks building mission that depends on this function a-a-a-a-and... yeah, BI at it's finest goddamnit.
It appears when you open "Camera" while playing mission.
Launch parameters in Steam's Arma 3 properties window. DarkWanderer is right, script error messages are invisible unless you manually enable them.
Can you please explain, what's the problem with screenshot you attched? Everything looks normal to me, am i missing something?
Upvoted, that would be very useful.
Upvoted.
I can't believe that they still making "levitating" models, first report about that bug was more than 3 months ago, why do they continuing to make same goddamn mistake with every new vehicle?
It depends on your object drawing distance not view distance. Tanks, aircrafts and other objects is not visible (therefore you can't lock on them with your AT/AA launchers) if they are further than your object drawing distance.
As far as I know you can turn off autoupdate in game's settings (Click RMB on ArmA3 in your Steam Library, select "Properties" and open "Updates" tab).
Maybe you're right, but huge, heavy and powerful Slammer just can't be more maneuverable than light and fast T-100, it makes no sense. IMHO, of course.
Still not fixed. Bug seems to get even worse, it takes like 15 AT-mines to slightly damage one of tank's tracks.
But it needs to be more challenging and realistic flying helicopters in this game, if it were easy everyone would be able to do it.
Downvoted. ArmA is not Flight Simulator, so everyone should be able to pilot helicopters if they like them.
You can add more files right after submitting a report.
Well, I think it's just make awesome modelled vehicle a little bit less awesome. :)
But no, it isn't interfere with ground, it seems to be just a mistakenly placed texture without collision model or something like that.
Upvoted.
Downvoted. AFAIK is infantry simulator, not horizon simulator. :) I'm afraid implementing this will be just a waste of time and resources IMHO.
Battles at sea on a scale like this without Earths curvature would seem a little odd to me...
Battles at sea between two inflatable patrol boats? There is no playable cruisers/destroyers/carriers in ArmA, so really huge naval battles is just impossible.
So, players with wider field of view will get an advantage over those who play with standard FOV, am I right?
AFAIK this is not a bug, that's how things work in real life.
Just updated the issue with new screenshots and reviewed vehicle list. It seems that this problem doesn't present on IFVs anymore. :)
Just checked out new mirrors on Mora and they are awesome, thank you for your work on this, redstone. Can't wait to see new mirrors on other vehicles. :)
Hey, you misunderstood me. I'm ok with upgrading it, my PC can run it smooth and pretty. But I want to allow my friends etc. to play the game as well, maybe make it so that you can deicde how many pip sources you want, then everyone is happy.
Ah, sorry, my mistake. :) I agree that it should be configurable so everybody can play with comfortable FPS and as far as I know it already is, PIP can be even disabled completely in video settings as FrankHH said.
There are many other things in ArmA that affect performance negatively, we don't need one more of them.
Yeah, high-qulaity textures affect ArmA performance negatively, let's get rid of them. Big maps affect ArmA performance negatively, lets throw away Altis and use cs_office from Counter-Strike instead! Awesome! Who needs improvements or bug fixing? Nobody, right? :)
Well, honestly, I don't want to play a game with Quake I textures quality / 0.003 PIP-sources / whatever just because somebody won't bother upgrading his PC or tuning video settings. :\
Still not fixed. :\
@pops, @Killzone_Kid
Thank you guys, I updated issue description. Unfortunately it's impossible to edit or remove attached images.
And the offroad's left mirror is not acting as one. ;)
Oh, right, it's not mirrored. :) But it seems to be fixed already: http://feedback.arma3.com/view.php?id=2946
Workaround isn't working for me. I wonder, when I finally will be able to make a mission without "Oh, right, they didn't fixed that bug yet, though it was reported like ages ago". :\
I think this is temporary stub, just like white scopes on rifles.
Well, seems like I'm kinda observant guy, lol.
Actually this bug is quite noticeable, especially when you randomly rotate camera around vehicle while it's moving on flat surface. :)
I'm afraid mirrors aren't fixed. Take a look at this issue: http://feedback.arma3.com/view.php?id=10671
Even AT-mines still not working properly and you folks want aircraft carrier (cargo plane/new tanks/etc). I envy your optimism.
This ticket definitely needs more votes, tracked vehicles from Arma 2 will be a great addition to Arma 3.
It's very sad that BIS don't fixed that bug yet.
Downvoted, really awful idea. When in-game combat gets intensive your real-life heart starts beating faster, you concentrate on one target and don't paying much attention to others and so on. There's simply no need to poorly simulate something that happens with player IRL.

Oh, come on, it STILL not fixed? :\ How many developers does BIS have? 0.5?
