Please make sure your video drivers are up to date. If they are ,we suggest a clean install. If the clean install does not help, then try an older version of your drivers.
Also make sure your OS is up to date and there are no corrupted files or installations on your OS. Upon doing so, please verify the game data through Steam (Make sure Steam cloud sync is disabled prior doing so).

This is an issue related to Windows 7. There is a possibility this will not get fixed due to Steam ending Windows 7 and 8 support starting january 2024 - making you unable to play the game on Win 7.

Yeah have tried that too also tried checking run program as administrator and also tried switching the compatability modes from windows 8 and 7 did that to Dayz_BE.exe DayZ_x64.exe DayZDiag_x64.exe
As mentioned, try it out on experimental and see if you still have the same issues.
Could be amd gpu driver issue. I had ran into the same problem on rx 6700 xt. Drivers 21.11.3 - 22.5.1 and inbetween have this issue resolved. Every other driver after 22.5.1 shit the bed.

Have you ever tried enabling "disable full screen mode optimisation" option?
I personally don't feel that the fog is a problem, maybe because my viewing distance is 3000 meters.

I reinstalled the graphics drivers, no change. My OS is up to date.
Already made a ticket about it as soon as it hit experimental a month ago. I completely agree. The fog is too much imo. 1.22 was perfect in that regard. Also the bluish hue of the fog makes both Cherno and Livonia look cold. This is even more apparent if you look at the Takistan Map, which uses Cherno's skybox and fog. Takistan now looks like Namalsk instead of a hot desolate place with sandstorms...
Ah yes deleting the documents folder seems to have resolved it. thank you

No, we would like a video of how the skybox looks for you during the gameplay.
Short update, all our stashes were found even those underneath bushes etc. we really enjoyed going back to vanilla. just started building our base. my mate is now online right now. they destroyed our walls. Its just unfair cheaters destroy the fun.

Can you please show us a video of the problem? Because the movement of the sky is minimal.

Actually I just thought, the flashbang and other explosives in general should defintely give the "ringing" ears effect if they blow up near you even if it doesn't directly hit you. This would be a nice touch to the realism / immersion but also would be a nice buff for the flashbang, meaning even if you don't directly blind them, you can give them distorted audio queues just by chucking flashbangs near them.

@Geez Hi Geez, could you pleaase tell us if this issue might finally be on the menu, now another 2 patches later? I really find this to be quite a severe bug, as it has direct and constistent impact on the core mechanic of gunplay.

My friend has 3 vanilla servers with high online.
He tells him people complain about desync and bad damage registration.
On PVP server, where mostly play on melee weapons (m4a1, AK and so on) - it is almost impossible to play.
It's hard to reproduce this situation alone, at least in 1.23.
But the more people on the server and the more shots in one place (especially the forest) - the stronger desync and not registered hits, characters hang and most often all fights end in exchanges.

Okay, another thing that seems to be "bugged" with those map settings... (especially looking at Cell size being 3.75).
There is a problem with correct transition between ground textures. I am totally aware of materials limit per cell. Everytime I regenerate my layers, Im using "6 materials per cell (Arma 2)" setting and I also do a double check of my mask layer with the custom tool called MaskColorChecker to see for any tiles with exceeded limit.
But textures after regenerating are still wrong, they have sharp edges and sometimes they inherit something from wrong materials. Example on the first attached photo.
