Melee right now is either trade punches to any part of the body until someone drops or one person gets locked in the stun animation and might as well unplug their keyboard. This is bad because is very unskillful and boring.
I propose a hybrid of the old 0.62 melee system and the "new" one. Your feet should not be locked in place like they are currently, you should be able to move around with your melee primed (right-click) and your melee attack should be accurate because right now every melee is just a huge 180 degree swing that you cant miss and should almost be like a gun fight with misses and hits(better player with aim win instead who got the heavy hit connection first).
You should have to aim for the vital parts of the body(on players) to do actual shock damage and large heavy swings should on deal a stun if you hit the in the head instead of just any part of the body.
Blocking against objects that are not fists or non melee weapons should do 50% less damage instead of outright blocking all damage. For example a guy with no items can block a fireaxe with his forearms.
