Low gpu usage in towns, cities, high in forest areas high end pc
Awaiting internal Testing, NormalPublic

Description

Understandably my frames should definitely drop when im rendering more in towns and cities, but the drops are very very noticeable, i will have 90+% gpu and 200+ fps when looking at trees and then when i look to a town roughly 60 and below gpu usage and around 100 fps, the fps doesnt feel smooth whatsoever you would think it would be hard to notice on a 144hz monitor but its very stuttery.

go to any big city, go to the edge of the city and look towards the trees you will notice the increase of gpu usage, then turn back and look at the gpu usage will drop no matter what settings you run (you need to run on amd card)

Additional Information

i have tried many different methods to stop this issue from happening, uninstalling the game and reinstalling the game, deleting the configs, reinstalling windows, changing amd drivers, different powerplans, bios is up to date, disabling fullscreen optimisations, tweaked the amd control panel settings, removed all overlays, tried radeon sync, vysnc, changing resolutions, limiting fps, the only fix i had found was putting my object detail to poor which puts me at a significant disadvantage to see players in buildings and the game looks bad. I did not have this issue on a 3060, the gpu usage was high, i did on the 6600 and 580 and now the 7800xt which seems to be a trend on amd along with a weird foliage pixelated bug. in the video you can see at extreme i run very low fps and should have way higher as ive seen benchmarks on cards far lower performing than mine get same or even higher fps at 1440p. - youtube video - at poor settings issue still occurs 400+ fps then looking at a city you can see gpu usage drop and fps to 180 which is why its unnoticable because im at 144hz, at personal settings issue still occurs.

Could be amd gpu driver issue. I had ran into the same problem on rx 6700 xt. Drivers 21.11.3 - 22.5.1 and inbetween have this issue resolved. Every other driver after 22.5.1 shit the bed.

7800xt only has 3 drivers or so, those are not available

This is the problem with ADM GPU's. Sometimes they work great and other times they do not, and Nvidia simply works. Good luck getting this resolved since the official stance from AMD is that "This bug has been fixed with driver version 22.5.1" but the AMD forums (and me included) are of another opinion. Use the official bug report tool in Adrenaline and pray that AMD gives a crap, I'm preparing my report as I'm writing this. I have the exact same problem (on my 6700xt) as you have and there are many more AMD users in the same situation. If you want to read more stories like yours then google 'dayz and amd'.

Still bad.

forest + heavy rain sometimes want to cook my 3080 by crancking temperatures to 70+, while rest of the game it seats in mid 50s
