Works now, Thanks.
I ticket the filepatching box in the launcher ( should do the same right?) Went into the editor and saw no diffrence. How exactly do i run isFilePatchingEnabled?
Probably because of filePatching
run isFilePatchingEnabled to see if it is enabled
enable it with -filePatching exe startup param
did this fix your problem?
Hello,
thank you for the response. However, we cannot determine what exactly caused your game to crash. It is necessary you try to run your Arma without any mods. If the crashes still happen then, please send another crashdumps (ones you have provided us with are unfortunately all created while using the mods).
If the crashes stop (on Arma without mods), please try to activate mods one by one until you find out which one causes the crashes.
Mods are not official content from Bohemia Interactive and it is very likely that the CTDs you are experiencing are caused by collisions between two or more mods.
Please let us know, thank you.

Oh and by the way, Bjarne Stroustrup implemented Mulitple Inheritance in C++ in 1984, So I guess that 30 years later Bohemia is probably able to do the same...
I think that the Current Inheritance structure is unnecessarily complex to work with for a simple reason.
Every-time you want to redefine something on more than one level at the time you have to re-declare the whole tree of parent classes making sure not to mention one class twice...
Which makes it especially hard to do pragmatically or even manually if you have a lot of classes to redefine.
Since then they all at some point inherit from each other on multiple level and even sometime on the same level.
Multiple Inheritance would solve.
Being able to redefine inherited sub-properties without being forced to re-declare them would also solve that issue.
Hello, this is a duplicate of #0025886
In the Editor you can use Widgets (No Widget, Translation Widget & Rotation Widget) to rotate objects. You can find these next (right side) to the Undo/Redo buttons.
Best regards.
Reported as fixed in internal, please wait for an update.

It is being fixed, probably in the next RC
Hello,
unfortunately your PC does not meet the minimum system requirements required for the game.
While it is possible game would start and so on, your PC won't be able to run the game.
http://arma3.com/buy#requirements
We are sorry but there is not much we can do about this issue.
Thank you
My Gpu driver version is the pc manufacturer version and it is the latest version... But, it wont let me use another version of it...
Ok nvm there it is!
It wont let me upload the zip file...
It seems that your graphics driver of your Intel HD GPU caused the trouble.
Have you updated your GPU with the latest driver version?
If you are using the latest driver, try to use an older driver.
Best regards.
Only the crashdump files. These files have the same name but different file types (e.g. arma3_2016-02-03_12-00-00.rpt, arma3_2016-02-03_12-00-00.bidmp & arma3_2016-02-03_12-00-00.mdmp)
If this is not enough just let me know and I will add more information about it...
Hello, please make sure you don't use any mods.
Please attach your crashdump files (rpt + mdmp + bidmp) to your ticket (zip-folder). These files are located in: C:\Users\<Name>\AppData\Local\Arma 3\
Can confirm. +1
Hello,
we are sorry for the trouble you are having with the game.
This error is very generic. It may be caused by many issues, such as a hardware malfunction, a virus in the computer, but also an error in the game itself. Possible solutions:
-Try joining another server, then rejoin the previous one.
-Update the graphics card drivers to a newer version.
-Rollback the graphics card drivers to an older version.
-Check the temperature of your GPUs and CPUs.
-Verify the integrity of the game cache using Steam.
-Re-install DirectX.
-Uninstall the Visual C++ 2013 Redistributable package (x86 version), restart your computer and install the package again (do not use the Repair function).
-Run a Windows System File Check tool to repair corrupted system files.
Please let us know if any of this helped.
Thank you
Please make sure to run the game after this with no mods. Should the crash occur again, please send us another crash dumps (again, with no mods running).
jeah it work again it was only a database issue from the server i let delete my data and joind new and it worked so now i can play again but i thank u guys for the fast help.

Hello, please attach your crashdump files (rpt + mdmp + bidmp) to your ticket (zip-folder). These files are located in: C:\Users\<Name>\AppData\Local\Arma 3\
Yes, but that needs to be set manually on every unit, and it's not unique.
You can give description to the unit and read it with roleDescription command if that helps https://community.bistudio.com/wiki/roleDescription
Hello, this is not a glitch or a bug.
Rifle slings/carrying straps on weapons are not visual present in the game.
That issue is only reproducable in the development branch 1.57.134216
It is not reproducable in the Release Candidate 1.56.134260
The issue got fixed in the development branch 1.57.134264
Please change your subject, because you can place explosives like items on the ground.
Yes, the mines are armed. All kind of anti personnel mines will explode if you step over or get too close to them. A special button seems to be required to place them as not armed.
For now the "attachto" command is just of cosmetic nature.
But you can place all kind of items in the vehicle storage with the Eden 3D editor for other users.
Yes, I know. But what if I want to place it on the table on player's base? It should be armed? (:
Or attach it to vehicle so users can take it, like on this image:
http://feedback.arma3.com/file_download.php?file_id=13903&type=bug
You only need a Toolkit in you inventory (e.g. Explosive Specialist).
With the Toolkit you are able to disarm all kind of placed explosives. After you disarmed the explosive, you can pick it up.
Hello,
it looks like the crash dumps were not created (we need rpt + bidmp + mdmp files). It could be that your game actually did not crash or it crashed and was killed off (via task manager) too quickly for crashdumps to create.
Next time it freezes, please try to wait a minute or two so the dumps have time to create. If there are no crashdumps after then, we'll try to find another solution.
Thank you
I really don't like the way you saying this... I Haven't use Taskkill on Arma 3 when he freeze or Crash .
But thanks for you'r help anyway the problem has been solved .
Waypoints on logic entities are discontinued in the Eden Editor.
Confirmed but I believe it was intended, it was mentioned early in the Eden beta.
Which is odd as they have included logical OR and AND which seems a little pointless as they don't seem to do anything without a waypoint on act box.
Not sure if that is what OP is trying to do but I used to do it when I had multiple triggers that needed checking.
Hello,
thanks for letting us know, really appreciated (bow). Indeed once the file is marked as hidden, it can't be written into. I'll add a workaround for the issue.
Once again, thank you.
Private it is...
Hello. I have arrived at a fix...
Basically, it involved making some 'hidden' folders, unhidden.
I noticed that my user folder is hidden with windows 10. I wasn't sure if that is default behavior that is different from windows 7 (or if I inadvertently did that somehow in the past).
App Data is hidden by default (same behavior as windows 7)
Inside of app data, only "local" is hidden. Not sure if that is the same as old windows 7 behavior or not.
Inside of local, some things are hidden, some are not. All folders Bohemia related were hidden.
I unhid the folder referenced in the logs, and that fixed the news issue. I then proceeded to unhide, other bohemia related folders within local, as well as local, and my user folder...
Then, everything in launcher was working again. Watched folders get remembered, news items that are read are remembered, launch parameters are remembered, and mods are no longer processing every single time...
From there, I re-hid my user folder, as well as the local folder (not sure if that was supposed to be default behavior or not with windows 10), and everything still worked in the launcher.
Lastly, I checked with a friend to confirm what he did/didn't have hidden. His user folder was not hidden, his local folder was not hidden, and it appeared that nothing in his local folder was hidden.
So, I just unhid my user folder, and the local folder (as well as all of its folders and subfolders) to mimic his behavior. Everything still working fine with the launcher now :)
So... It appears I must have inadvertently hidden everything within appData at some point in the past (as that is the default check box) after unhiding and re-hiding it... rather than ticking the box to only hide the folder and not the things within it.
That would explain why some things within were hidden and others were not.
Human error as it turns out. I appreciate your help though, as it helped me pinpoint the cause of the issue.
Thanks very much.
EDIT: I've removed the link to my zip file, so you can feel free to make this public again if you like... in case some other knucklehead encounters this or a similar issue in the future. The answer is, make sure the "Local" folder, and everything within it is *not* hidden.
Hello,
the logs shows that it really is a permission issue:
System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the path '(blah blah censored)AppData\Local\Arma 3 Launcher\News.json' is denied.
Same goes for other configuration files and also for the. \AppData\Local\Bohemia_Interactive folder. Could you please check effective permissions for your user account on a particular file, e.g. News.json? Properts -> Security tab -> Advanced -> Effective permissions.
Thanks for the prompt response. That is strange. I am seeing that particular file (like everything else in the Local folder, is owned by my user, and that my user has "full control", along with system and administrators.
Under "permissions" it also shows the following as all checked "allow":
Full Control
Modify
Read & Execute
Read
Write
(and nothing is checked for: Special Permissions)
Any suggestions on how to resolve this permission issue?
Thanks
(p.s. Am I able to make this ticket "private" and you still be able to access it?)
