Fixed in the latest development branch 1.57.134311.
But it is still an issue in the RC branch.
It will be fixed in new RC update.
I can confirm that issue in the latest development branch 1.57.134216
Hi,
thank you for reporting, it will be fixed in one of new update.
So after some more Googling, I found out about the audio sources bug. I dropped my audio to 16bit, 44100Hz, and played for over three hours with absolutely no issues. Could be the same with the others?
EDIT: So on the latest RC branch, I bumped the audio up as high as it could go and had no issues during my play time. Can't say if this also solved the issue on Altis Life, but in SP, for me, it's fixed. For now.
Hello,
thank you all for your feedback.
For those who are experiencing trouble with this issue in the singleplayer (as this probably won't be possible to test on the altis life servers), please try to switch to the RC version in the Betas (Right-click Arma 3 > Properties > Betas).
To access it use this Beta access code:
Arma3Update156RC
Please let us know if this issue is still present in the RC.
Thank you
Same issue on single player, with and without mods. But it only appears when I enter combat. Running around the island doesn't seem to do much. And only on dev branch also, not stable.
Screenshot of graphical glitch:

have same problem fps bug and graphic bug
Fixed in RC and dev. thanks, bis
Thank You for confirmation.
Hi,
thank you for reporting, it will be fixed in one of new update.
Intended state, scripts are supposed to run in Eden workspace, it's like any other mission.
If you don't want scripts to run, make sure to use is3DEN condition.

Just finished testing this again in 1.57.134593 and the issue appears now to be fixed. TY.
(NOTE: Just to confuse the issue I've had to replace my MB and HDDs in the last week so can't be 100% sure that it wasn't at my end. I'm using the note posted in the change log for build 134414 on the 9th of Feb to indicate that the devs may have actually found something to fix.)
Good news and bad news:
Good news: Lost all my report files due to negligent key pressing, but just running the versions again replaced those with no hassles.
Bad news: 1.56 RC appears to be displaying the audio behaviour the same as 1.57 Dev. There seems to be a few quirks in there as well complicating things a little, but sound still disappears on Alt+Tab.
Uploaded .rpt files for 1.54, 1.56 RC and 1.57 Dev. Also included DXDiag.txt.
Hello, I took my time and activated my onboard sound. I still can't manage to reproduce your sound issues. Everything is fine for me.
Thanks for the rpt-files. Maybe some of the developers can find the cause of the issue.
Yes please. If you can upload the latest rpt file after a quick reproduction session that would be great.
I am using a 10 years old "SB X-Fi Elite Pro" and I didn't have any problems so far. I did not tested my onboard sound card yet(deactivated), maybe the same can happen to me too.
Game files updated to DEV 1.57.134216
Uninstalled and disabled nVidia hardware. This simply disables the HD audio passthru to the GPUs HDMI output. It shouldn't be interferring with the normal audio operation.
Logitech has been default input/output throughout testing.
Have tested with every config of hardware and drivers that seems to make any sense and the audio behaves the same. Looped audio doesn't seem to be getting re-initialised when coming back from Alt+Tab.
Tried altering between Fullscreen/Window/Fullscreen Window with no difference.
Tested in 1.54.133741 Stable and the problem does not appear there no matter how I try to force it to ;-)
More telling, IMO, Commandeered my sons PC (he's running AMD/AMD vs my Intel/nVidia) and installed dev branch there with the same results, i.e. was able to duplicate the sound loss there on coming back from Al+Tabbing out.
Currently downloading the 1.56 RC to test there.
Doesn't seem to be a way to upload my .rpt file from the last server run on dev branch or my dxdiag.txt file but I have these if they are required.
Thanks
Thanks for the feedback. To your questions:
OS: Win 10 Pro (x64)
SND: Logitech G430 Gaming Headset (Default)
Effect appears whether I'm using mods or not, and whether I'm using streaming/recording software or not.
Uploaded a shorter video showing my steps to reproduce: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zlUNh693T5I&html5=1
Quick update: I thought that it might have something to do with the Logitech G430 setup, so changed the audio output to my monitors standard stereo output. Unfortunately the problem persists there as well.
Currently reinstalling all my audio drivers, etc. just in case and will retest when that's complete.
UPDATE: No change. Reinstalled board level chipset drivers, Logitech drivers for the G430 + Dolby 7.1 Surround. Same result after Alt+tabbing out and back.
One new quirk I noticed here and is in the video, this time when going 3PP and back to 1PP to try and fix, the audio fades on the first two attempts. Tested this with Bandicam running (hence the video) and without, and the results were the same.
Heading into speculation here:
Happens with all of the vehicles that I've tried. With land vehicles it happens with the idle engine sounds. With helos, the sound played when they are fully spooled up, etc. Perspective doesn't seem to matter. If you're in 3pp and Alt+Tab sound is gone when coming back.
Sound resumes again dependent on whether there is a change in filtering or a different sound is required by the engine. I.e. accelerating in a land vehicle, changing perspective (3PP/1PP) or turning off the engine. Firing weapons other actions play their sounds as usual but don't restart the missing sounds.
Ofc, this doesn't get me any closer to finding a cause and TBH I'm not really sure where to look for one.
That NVIDIA Virtual Audio Device makes me very suspicious. For what do you need it?
As far as I can see, you are using a Logitech G430 headset that has its own soundchip and drivers.
Please try following: Completely uninstall the NVIDIA Virtual Audio Device, mark your Logitech G430 as your primary sound device, start Arma 3 without modifications and try to reproduce the audio issue again.
Hello, I've read your description, watched your video and tried to reproduce that issue with the development version 1.57.134182.
I did not experience the sound issues you are talking about. For me everything worked fine.
What Windows version are you using?
What sound device are you using?
Have you used modifications?
Does the sound issue appears if you don't use a streaming or recording software?
Best regards
Hello,
according of the log you are missing a file 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Arma 3\Launcher\en-US\arma3launcher.resources.dll'. Could you please check whether the file exists or not?
Yes this file is here.
Well... if this is intended, please close this ticket.
Honestly i am not sure why it is done this way (especialy slowing down over the rocks and during passing line of water) also what are usabilities of those features but i belive you know what you are doing.
Regards
This is an intended feature.
As closer you get to the ground or water line as slower the camera movement gets (for a more detailed and comfortable item placement).
The double click (on the map view I suggest?) changes the camera position and copies the camera height you had on the solid ground. If the camera was close to the solid ground it will be close to the bottom of the sea (e.g. the camera is 100m above the airfield -> in the map view double click somewhere on the map -> the camera is still 100m above the ground level on the new position).
The button "collapse all layers" would be very useful for me, it's very uncomfortable when you want find something but you should close every tab to not trying to find this through all those units. If the system works like a tree it should work for player not against, so you need an ability to search what you need just from the start. But unfortunately, I can't agree with other points.
Added a zip file contain a new files as i couldn't find the old ones. Still same issue but has the rpt you requested.
Hi,
could you please add rpt with same name as mdpm and bidmp file? Thank you very much.
The problem was, that your username did not contain latin letters. That can be not just a problem for Arma 3 (other software might cause trouble too).
Make sure, your profile path only contains such latin letters and everything should be fine.
Best regards and I close the ticket.
the same picture in the RC branch, welcome screen ,again, even if i delete unsupported characters in my profile name
But , here is the problem ,i've deleted every profole ,and tryed to create the new one ,welcome screen is always apears
Hello, according to your latest rpt-files it seems that you're still using the same profile path (C:\Users\נטי\Documents\Arma 3).
If you just delete the profile path and restart the game, the game just creates a new profile path at the same location.
For test purposes: Please try to create a custom path (Arma 3 Launcher->"Parameters"->"Advanced" tab->"Advanced" tree->"Profile Path") that contains only latin letters (e.g. "D:\testpath").
-Now start the game and wait until the main menu screen -> welcome screen should appear
-Close the game and restart it with the same profile path settings again (should be saved in the launcher settings) -> welcome screen should be gone
Please post your result
Could you please add new rpt? Thank you.
Can you please upload the rpt file from the RC?
IT WORKS!!! THANK YOU BOHEMIA!
i've uploaded the report file
Yes,i've tried to launch it without mods,it didn't helped
It looks that you have unsupported characters in Your profile name(נטי). Could you please try profile outside of Your documents folder? You can set path to profile via Launcher in Advanced tab.
Hello, for me the welcome screen only appeared once.
Have you tried to start the development branch without any modifications (you are using many of those)?
Hi,
could you please start game without mods and upload rpt file? It will be rpt file with newest date in name. Thank you very much.
I forwarded the problem to the developers. I really hope that problem will be fixed soon.
Koala thanks
Old bug. Unit (man) in the water become invulnerable. BIS, you need to fix it finally.
A video from 3 months ago: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wrp1ZjiYqAA
Impossible to kill a floating unit. The bullet tracers penetrate his head but don't inflict damage.
There's a small chance of a hit if the target swims up.
I can confirm that issue.
No problem and you're welcome.
Sometimes a mod might cause some strange behaviours.
I closed the ticket.
Hello, I have just tested the VR Training "Helicopter Weapon Systems" without any problems.
The "Autocannon" part just took a few seconds for me to finish.
Can you please be more specific? Maybe you can post a video of your issue.
Do you use any modifications for Arma 3?
Best regards
Ok, Problem solved! I had a mod in Steam start options (now disabled)! In the game launcher no mods active. Its running fine now. thx
