Hello, we are sorry you are experiencing issues with our game.
Could you please export your game log files from the launcher?

Steps on how to export logs from ARMA 3 Launcher:

  1. Start ARMA 3 Launcher
  2. Click the Hamburger menu tab in the launcher (Top right corner. Next to Options (Cog wheel icon) and Minimize Button)
  3. Drop down menu will appear
  4. Select: Prepare Arma Troubleshooting error and save those files
  5. A notification will pop up with the name of the generated file

Please note that the files might take a while to collect.

Attach the generated files to the ticket. If the files are too big please use some free file sharing service.

HEY GUYS! Guess what? So I've been having this same issue for over 3 weeks and have been emailing the developers and also had a ticket in the tracker BUT they have not found a solution for this yet, or better yet have not troubleshooted it enough to find the issue. Hopefully I am here to save the day and resolve everyones issue with this so I'll pass this onto all the tickets I can find. Your going to think this is the most ridiculous thing ever when I tell you what is causing this. Unplug all of your USBs (unless its your mouse and keyboard) And try the game again. Make sure you take them out before You launch the game. My issue was the Headset being plugged in the computer. WTF right? Its a Jabra headset, I seen someone who had the same issue with another headset the afterglow ones and after he said he unplugged his he didn't crash ever again. Guess what, same with me! My Microsoft wireless mouse USB is fine to stay in the computer and play the game but all you have to do is find which one is causing it. I can confirm this is the solution because I launched the game 10 times with it plugged in and every 10 times it crashed exactly like yours did same scenario. Launched it 10 times without it plugged in and i haven't crashed it 2 days and 10 hours of awesome fun gameplay online and on the singleplayer. ENJOY your moneys worth now! Have Fun! I hear some of you play RHS, I do too. However, I'd like Bohemia Interactive to include Russians in a futuristic matter. RHS is not really suited for ArmA III, and with it we can't make non-canon fan made campaign-related missions. Well other than that, I bet there would be a lot more missions if Russians were fundamental in-game.

I would say it's about time for something new, more fitting in the Arma verse, something most games never do. As in real life seeing a pivot to the Pacific, the most common run in, would be the PRC, or more commonly known... People's Republic Of China. Now of course, China is seen negatively IRL for some things it's don't, others not so much, but this is the Armaverse.

While the China is a friend IRL, it's also a good adversary in any video game. As per sick and tired of Guerrilla forces, i think a far more modernized armed forces such as that of the PRC, would be a much better competitor. And as being one of the biggest players in the CSAT, most likely a founder, i find it even more fitting they make a big appearance.

Now of course, that's just my humble opinion. Russians are cool too. I just think they're over done, ever since... The end of WWII.

+1 Without the Russians Forces, the Soviet AK, the RPG-7, the Arma3 looks at least strange and poor.
This weapons, will not only be in 2035 but, even after 100 years, I'm sure.
It's nice to understand, that even Neil Blomkamp (film Elysium, 2013 where the action takes place in 2154) knows this as well.

I would have to say this issue is now fixed, with apparently reduced throttle/acceleration speeds. Hence, making safe landings more possible.

This might be fixed within version 1.54. I think I noticed the throttle was decreased significantly, but not sure if the one server tested had a modification.

Health damage does still occur at around 211 km/h, however I can now hover more precisely at a set speed over the runway before landing with the decreased thrust.

I will further test later within my editor to further verify.

yes the landing with To-199 Neophrone is very very difficult !

there is probably caused by a problem with configuration of High-lift device , because when you reduce the speed for landing the plane stall compared to other planes !

Here are some tips for a successful landing of the Neophrone:

  1. Start your landing approximately at least 3-4 kilometers out.
  2. Approach at 150 meters altitude.
  3. Approach full speed brake and full flaps, landing gear down. Enough throttle to keep vertical descent from dropping excessively.
  4. Keep the flight path indicator on the beginning of the runway. Use rudder, and avoid ailerons. Use the throttle to control vertical descent.
  5. Just prior to touch down, pull the nose up slightly and DO NOT drop or increase throttle. (If you do increase or drop throttle, this will likely require a divert from your landing.)
  6. Let the back wheels touch the runway and then let the nose down easy.

The above is extremely easy with the slower jets. Using the Noephrone, this is virtually impossible without causing injury to the pilot when using a remove server or mutli-player game.

I've created a landing scenario, already lined-up with the runway, with all aircraft controls set for landing.

I've reproduced landing, and find landing still requires a level of expert control, along with having the awareness of using something like TrackIR. Very difficult but after practice, landing does get easier.

This is something that was reported long time ago - We need to get control of dialogs speaken in the game (non-radio) beacuse i cant hear dialogs almost at all (friendly characters) till i volume up the main effects, but then all fight sounds are pain to my ears.

Hello oblackwood,
according to the file you've attached, your issue is caused by incorrect version of the file 'C:\Windows\SysWOW64\xapofx1_5.dll'. Remove the file from the folder and the run the DirectX installer from 'C:\program files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Arma 3\_CommonRedist\DirectX\Jun2010\dxsetup.exe'.

Please add either an explicite note to a thread or create a separate issue. Just uploading the file will usually goes unnoticed.

Hello,
based on the Dependency Walker file you have provided, I'd say that your problem lies with two files: D3DCOMPILER_43.DLL and XINPUT1_3.DLL. The are 32 bit and 64 bit version of those files and the game is loading the wrong one.

I'd suggest you to go to the folder 'C:\Windows\SysWOW64', delete those two files and re-install the DirectX from http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8109

I uploaded the dwi file of my copy of arma 3. There are a lot of dll that are highlighted in red. I already tried to reinstall C++, DirectX, .NET framework and also some missing dlls but it still doesn't work at all. Reading a lot of reports on this problem I discovered that the only working solution is format and reinstall windows on the pc. In my case I bought this pc two weeks ago and I put all my data here, so I can't do this dangerous and costful operation. I hope that a patch will be released soon to resolve this common problem

Hello,

These errors are usually raised when some DLLs are corrupted or missing or when they are replaced with an incompatible version. It may also happen that you placed a DLL file in the game folder that is loaded instead of the genuine one. Possible solutions:

Verify the integrity of the game cache using Steam.
Re-install DirectX.
Uninstall the Visual C++ 2013 Redistributable package (x86 version), restart your computer and install the package again (do not use the Repair function).
Run the Windows System File Check tool to repair corrupted system files.
If you are using post-processing tools like Reshade or SweetFX or utilities like RadeonPro remove them.
Re-install the game; remove all files from the game installation folder and then verify the integrity of the game cache using Steam.
To identify the precise DLL that is causing an issue, download a 32-bit version of the Microsoft Dependency Walker and open arma3.exe with it. The libraries with a red icon are the corrupted ones.

Hey Adam, can you point out what is wrong with the startup params? I have used them all the time. I did manage to get things working again, all I did was revert to original version of arma3.exe, then using perf profiling client again, without changing any of the startup parameters. Now it works again. Isn't that wierd, huh?

thank you for your report and files. Your problem is that DirectX crashes. This may be from various reasons, such as outdated DirectX, outdated drivers, overclocked CPU or GPU [by manufacturer or user] and many more.
