This is still the case in the current stable branch (1.10)
Cannot reproduce the issue under 1.50.
The only way I got through this is hitting space before the 2hs later appears and then look DOWN until the animation stops and the new task begins

Same issue here. I tried to save a game after using the space trick and then re-loading. The game hangs when I attempt to load from that save.

Same thing, tried tapping space bar to get through a little, still got stuck with "tipping point"

Agreed, besides the turrets in ArmA 3 are modular that almost every vehicle of every faction uses the same system, so there should be no problem fitting a Titan AT/AA to every mrap.
A DAGR version with 12-24 rockets would be welcome too!

Also it is possible that AI will not complain at all just wouldnt fire until player exits the tank.
I've had very strange experiences with this command in general, in one of my missions it works perfectly almost every time and in another they always move their gun and move it back without firing. However I'm not too sure what to report as I can't get consistent results.
Voted up as I can actually reproduce this consistently.
I cannot reproduce the problem. The CPU load in animation viewer is about half lower than ingame when I tried it.
Which CPU are you using?
During which specific animation does the load happen? [If happens generally, please ignore this question]

thats one of those reasons why the community sticks to mods like ACRE and now new TFR
they provide a better immersion to everything + radio channels with working radios
but i still upvote this as the current state is really nothing good (and it should not be that hard to add a distance modification to the digital sound)
Should be a priority.If I can hear enemy in PVP matches across the street perfectly it's no teamwork allowed for them.

Needs fix asap. Already new art assets have been introduced in the game while the M4 has not received any attention.
after 13 months, still an issue :) The cover magically disappears inside the tank after turn out commander command.
Suggested fix: Add the option to configure the audio output device.
It happens to me when my Foobar2000 take exclusive control over the audio device, the game is broken after I stopped using it.

the first part is more or less expected behaviour as the AudioDevice gets removed and windows removes the logical device for it too
pluging it in again wont work as ArmA will still work with the old, non existing device
the only way to fix this would be to check if the device is still available and take a new one after OR to allow the device change in options
"soundplayed" Event handler also breaks. It executes 1 time and then breaks if audio output device has been unplugged, usb headset in my case.

Also, screen goes black when an HDMI resource is disconnected from the computer. This issue I just stated, seems to be a O/S related bug as I do not see it present within Linux, or an HDMI implementation related bug.
On Windows, I've disabled all drivers related to HDMI, HDMI display, NVIDIA HDMI Audio, etc. It helps, but does not solve the issue.

Situation from 5 minuts ago. Rocket flying towards me - i've got 4-5 seconds to reverse, order to ai, pushing smoke cover, and what - ai rotating tank, 5 seconds is too few. Please fix it, ITS UNPLAYABLE, No AI nearby, just standing behind the house! Situation like this is making Arma 3 bad in my memory, even worst simulator i've played.

Agree ^^^. Its dark side of game, and Developers are acting theire is no problem........ This is why i'm looking for other game right now to play. Beacuse Arma 3 will never get its potential - never seen so much waste. I WAS checking daily here but now i'm not, its sensless. Christmass break, then gaian new features instead of fixing issues - am i talking to the wall!?

We need another option for after it's supposedly marked as fixed, there should be another option to vote that it's still not right or broken.
BIS should be honest if they ever have any intentions of fixing Vehicle AI.
I get very frustrated checking daily for patches mainly to see if anything has been done to improve the situation.
This is such a big area of the game that feels as if it's been completely written off.
Right now it doesn't even function as well as A2/OA at least there you could just be a gunner in a vehicle without being forced to issue orders to the AI driver following waypoints.
It seems like they've done that as they know AI can't drive worth a damn and make the player do it all.

Improved: Tank drivers reversing
(Disclaimer - may not be perfectly fluid at all times)
OK, but look once again at the video. Author writed what to change to get it working properly. There is some zone around the vehicle - just make it smaller, so AI will not detect any friendly and obstacles. For now, if there is something up to 7 M from tank, it will not reverse. Now Arma world is full of objects - how i can command it properly?
The main issue here is that we haven't had any oprep or similar about Ai changes for quite awhile. The lack of information given out to the community about this and other Ai issues makes waiting so frustrating.

To be clear - there not must be second tank - it can be infantry as well, and your tank will spinning around too.
Impossible - it not work since i remember. Try in city. I wouldnt report this if it would be fixed - get in tank as commander, order revrese command [S]. Heh, "resolved"....... God, you see and you dont react....
It works just fine when you take control of a commander unit in Zeus interface. It also seems to work fine on stable.

Accept serial numbers of tickets to attention, and there will be no difficulties. Often tickets waiting on a floor of year, are also often resolved issues fresher. Old don't decide. There are new repetitions.

Still not fixed.... I'm a tank commander in most missions, how i can command tank without reversing!?
BUMP! Is this even readed? AI still have problems driving reverse ("revrese" command) its 50% chance they will obey the order.
Yep, still not fixed. Even when a WP (or moveTo/move/doMove) is set 25m behind it. Tanks and Cars will drive a circle, instead of driving backwards.
