If we understand your report correctly, this occurs only on community servers? In such case there is nothing we can do as we have no control over community servers and how they are administrated. You should not have any issues playing official servers.

So you don't have the chance to temporarily connect to the router via a long Ethernet cable? If you do, try it and my guess is it will fix it, since happened something similar to me in the past.

This issue is related to the modded content you are running. In such case the mod creator has to fix the issue on their end.

Have you tried to restart Steam and verify the game data? Also make sure your Steam Cloud Sync is disabled for DayZ.
Playing yesterday, I felt that they were intensity increased in 1.23, opposed to you. Can you post a screenshot where shows god rays? I will try to post one screenshot too.

DayZ Tools is not an official utility but fan made mod. You have to contact the mod creator in regards to any issues with the mod.

It is the Renderer that is the Issue i think.
When the Moon is up (regardless of Moon Phase and position in the Sky). The base brightness of the World gets defined by desiredLuminanceCoef.
The Renderer uses diffuse[] to overlay the surfaces that are facing the Moon with the colour defined in it. This doesn't make the surface of the object darker or brighter.
It will use bidirect[] to overlay all surfaces that are not facing the Moon. bidirect is set to the Colour Black ( RGB: 0,0,0 ) at night and that is what it makes seam dark.
And it will use ambient[] as the colour of the overlay of surfaces that are in the shadows. It is not Quite black but still pretty dark at night.The Renderer gets confused when there is no light source in the Sky and then does neighter of the 3 above. And the World lighting then only gets controlled by desiredLuminanceCoef.
So there are basically 2 Solutions to this. a quick way and the fancy way.
the Quick way would be, to tell the Renderer to use bidirect[] or ambient[] for all surfaces as long as there is no light source... this solution lets one aspect unattendet that i have not mentioned yet though.The Moon phase has no impact on the brightness of the night.... so a Full Moon is making the night just as bright as a Half Moon...
The fancy Solution would be to have the desiredLuminanceCoef dynamic between a Min and a Max. the Max Value would apply by a Full moon in the Sky, making the World as bright at night as it can get. While a Min value would be no Moon, the world could be as Dark as it can get.
Depending on the Moon Phase, the World would then return a Float in between Max and Min.
As Example: No Moon at all could cause a desiredLuminanceCoef = -0.14; which is the Value the Lighting config for the Dark world is...
A Full Moon could cause a desiredLuminanceCoef = 0.12; which is the value of the default Lighting config.
Resolved for the 1.24 update.

this was an idea I did originally had, but the tp link I was using prior to my PC upgrades, the one connected to the main router itself seemed to have vanished from the face of the earth when the new internet router was installed. and has still yet to surface.
New instance / wiped server. Watchtower built on ground.
Vanilla server - still same issue, cant be put in inventory if having items in it.
1.23 - Still not fixed!

Confirmed, items goes up if base building is above.

Dropping the loot inside will teleport it up on the roof / watchtower.
That's the slingable drybag. It works as a backpack, thus unable to be stored with items inside it.
Take the rope off the drysack, then it should work :)

@Geez it's still an an ongoing problem in 1.23 stable.
Additionally now the crossbow bolts don't make any sound on impact with any surface. And all bolts are stuck in the opposite direction they've been shot form ( inverted ) .
This includes AI and basically any other surface. Being inverted on impact, makes them barely stick out from the surface, because that's the part that's supposed to be inside of the target.

Please try the following:
Verify the game data through Steam and delete the configuration files when prompted to do so (make sure Steam cloud sync is disabled for DayZ before doing this) - you can also delete the config files manually by clearing the C:\Users\*username*\Documents\DayZ folder

From the crash dump this seems like some sort of issue with a modded weapon. If you experience this just on a single server that runs mods, then you will possibly have to contact the administrator to get the character removed from the database as the weapon in your characters inventory is causing an issue.

The issue appears to be related to the mods you are running. This might be either an issue with the mod itself which has to be fixed by the mod creator, or the mod is corrupted.
We suggest that you try to uninstall/unsubscribe all your mods, then verify the game data and re-download the mods again. If the issue still persists upon doing so, then it is very likely an issue within the mod itself.

Resolved in 1.24 update.
Please help us all I know I'm not the only one that thinks this.
This bug is insane and should be priorized. look at this:

I am thinking is a core issue at this point, because I cannot seem to find any logical reason for it otherwise. Basically when a vehicle takes damage enough to cause the damage sound to be played, any "toot horn" will play the horn sound as well as the crash sound (Example.
Crouching one looks the best. Most realistic. It's literally how it looks when I look through my large binoculars IRL. Standing one is not too bad either but the loop is not closed as raxto said. Prone one is indeed weird. Binoculars are usually a pretty light item and you shouldn't bounce up and down as if they're 5Kg in weight...
Do you have the option to (temporarily) use an ethernet cable? (At least for testing purposes). My guess would be that there's an issue with the Wi-Fi connection. Wi-Fi isn't the best choice when playing multiplayer games like DayZ and you should use an ethernet cable if you can.
You can also try to open a command prompt and simultaneously ping the server while you are playing on it. That way you can at least see if you can still reach the server when you get connection problems in game.
