1.21 Stable [ Multiple issues with bolts interacting with cars ]
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

Since the last patch bolts are behaving strangely when in contact with cars.

  1. Bolt orientation is not good anymore when it hits the car, and not only that, but bolts can get stuck in different spot instead of where you actually shot.
  1. Bolts don't move with doors, hood, trunk anymore if you close/open them. If you shoot at the open door or hood or trunk, and close it, the bolt will now stay floating in the air. Unless you're sitting in the car and closing the door with the bolt stuck in the door, in that case the bolt will move with the door.
  1. Bolts get stuck in the car and ricochet a the same time. Basically, You'll see bolt get stuck in the surface of the car after you shoot it, but at the same time you'll see another bolt that bounces off and makes a sound when it lands on the ground. ( last vid )One time it even hit me when it bounced off and I was directly perpendicular to the target. But I didn't bleed. It was just as the other "ghost bolts"

There are all problems since the new hotfix. It worked properly before. I've tested if the bolts which get stuck in the house door move with the door, and they do.

@Geez it's still an an ongoing problem in 1.23 stable.
Additionally now the crossbow bolts don't make any sound on impact with any surface. And all bolts are stuck in the opposite direction they've been shot form ( inverted ) .
This includes AI and basically any other surface. Being inverted on impact, makes them barely stick out from the surface, because that's the part that's supposed to be inside of the target.

Hello.
We plan to deploy a fix for this as part of an additional patch for our 1.23 update, which should be deployed very soon. We highly encourage you to try it out on the Experimental branch.
