Description

This is a form to report an issue from the PC VERSION of the game
Image of the player walking around the stage, but he is in another location on his screen, and when they are shot or die they count huge distances in the logs that do not match what was on the shooter's screen, sometimes the player's image is also frozen and for him it is normal, however if a player passes by and sees the image frozen and shoots the player receives damage at great distances, follow the video of a freezing in the link below and I will also send a video of the player flying in the scenery, all the servers in the community are reporting this same problem, and this ends up leaving the unreliable game logs for our evaluation in case of cheaters, we await the urgent correction of this defect, as it may compromise players' trust in the game.

we just encountered this on our Server a few days ago (SKVAD) this is a similar / congruent issue as mentioned in the OP.

Dayz on PC - modded server.

This was sent to me by a player showing how his teammate "discovered" his character at a different location to where he actually was.
His friend shoots him and he dies. His loot gets dropped at the "true" location of the player, not the location where they are killed.

I have heard people say this may be caused by clipping against trees while running past them, as the characters seem to be in the sky most of the time... but I have no evidence of that.

I have seen this bug happen a lot lately on Namalsk. I dont remember this being an issue before 1.22.

On client side the bug seems to present itself in different ways (might be several different bugs, but i think they have the same origin):

  1. Players moving in the sky, you are sometimes able to shoot them and their characters will drop on the spot they die (often unlootable as they are floating out of range in the sky)
  1. Player charater stuck in place somewhere (can be in the open or close to trees) you can shoot and kill them, but it seems to have no effect (however the player does indeed take damage on their actual location)
  1. Encounter a invisble player, they can interact with the environment (doors, zombies, shoot you, etc.), but you cant see, hear or talk to them (they can hear you though and type in proximity chat)

I can try and collect clips of the variant of this bug if that would be helpful.

Respectfully, in my opinon, resolving this bug should be at the absolute top of priorities - there are bugs that are frustrating, but tolerable, but this is the one bug that takes all of the fun out of the game for me.

This bug is insane and should be priorized. look at this:
