Okay it looks like if you start an application seconds before DayZ launches (or say you get a notification on like teamspeak at around the same time for example, I think as the screen goes black or during this time) the game will display, but windows will think its at the desktop.

@Geez I have been using newui lately as it gives me slightly better performance in-game. But I cannot reproduce this issue at will. When it does happen I am unable to ALT-TAB, CTRL-ALT-DEL, or anything to get DayZ to either minimize or at least force quit. Now the odd thing is that when I try to do one of those Windows will recognize those shortcuts, but the screen will not clear DayZ from it. It stays visible (whether it be a black screen or the main menu.)

Glock + flashlight + pistol holster is no go.

There are AK's out there, but someone has to pick up the "trash" loot in the barracks/tents to get new items to spawn (such as ak's).

I think people are grabbing other guns and leaving their sks's.

Can confirm most (if not all) new barracks at NWAF are like this.

Yup, items start to slowly spawn into the ground after a bit. Eventually they become inaccessible to the point where the server needs a persistence wipe to get loot spawning again.

I think it just takes a while for guns to despawns (3-4 days without player interaction)

Ruined magazines have persisted over 48 hours on the ground. Private hive. Ruined gear should despawn faster (maybe an hour?) Some gear that has been interacted with despawns, but majority of it is not. Maybe the lag from large camps is causing this.

Can confirm painting gun (sks green) crashed my game. Reported as fixed by devs.

I think the gas tank is full, just the gauge is bugged.

Something with gear is causing this issue at the main menu.

Okay I was able to start the game by going into program files and opening dayz.exe. But after joining a server battle eye tried to update and now DayZ wont open at all. I think there is something wrong with the dayz_be.exe or dayz.exe. I say this because for a brief second while battle eye was updating it said to launch dayz through steam or dayz_be.exe with launch parameters like 0 1 or something. So I think battle eye is the blame for this.

Yes, I can confirm this as well. Some doors are just to narrow/low to fit into.

You probably desync'd/lagged while upstairs causing the server to think you glitched out and fell, breaking your legs and then dying.

Yep, pretty funny bug.

I had this issue a few days ago, and then it started working again. What I did while it wasn't working was close DayZ, open it back up, and as soon as the menu buttons appear, quickly click Change Server, press Refresh a few times then click the Internet Tab at the top once. Hopefully servers will start to populate within 20 seconds or so.

If not rinse and repeat. Worse case scenario, just hit the play button and hope it puts you in a server.

Give it a few days and it should start working again.

Verify your game cache in steam. Right Click DayZ within steam, click properties. Then click on the local files tab and click verify integrity of game cache.

If that does not work then your best bet is to uninstall DayZ and redownload.

I get this while on the third floor of the office building. You can see the open door icon appear on the screen, yet it is a floor below.

Just give it a few days. See if any server is in your history or friends tab. If not just try hitting the play button and see if it puts you in a server.

My workaround: Open DayZ, as soon as the menu buttons appear, quickly press the change server button. Next click refresh a few times and then click on the Internet tab at the top. If no servers appear within 30 seconds or so rinse and repeat. Sometimes I had to do this about 5 times for the server to start populating.

Otherwise just give it a few days. The server that hosts the server list is probably overloaded or something.

Go into configure, video, user interface, and set your resolution in there. Then restart DayZ and see if your native resolution is now in the Rendering Resolution drop down menu.

Try vaulting and running around in there. Experiment with different areas, there is almost always a way to get out when stuck under a building.

Also for now NEVER log out in a building. You risk getting stuck.

I can confirm this on Experimental. Servers take forever to populate in the server browser.

I have yet to see ammo boxes nor vests spawn.

I was wondering why my ammo would sometimes do this with the sawed off shotgun and snaploader.

I just eat until im energized then drink until im hydrated then stuffed. Im playing Experimental 48.124737 and I am able to be energized and hydrated no issue. Now the food not spawning as much is another issue.
