At the moment of respawn, in the upper left corner of the screen, there is an enfusion script(looks like the new enscript anyways) that says "View Contents". If swift, you can press F and bring up your former character body, the primary weapon that was being held at time of death is not visible(as it drops as it should), however everything in the backpack and on the back of the player is visible. I have done the following tests upon 3 deaths:

Dragged an AKM off back of dead body(1) into hands slot, successful. Private hive - Gents Of Novo

Dragged yellow protector case off dead body(2) into hands, item was "invisible" but by making the character "throw"(G), the yellow case appeared. Private Hive SAS

Dragged an AK74 from dead body(3) to new player's back. Public Hive Central TX 2-18
