No servers appearing in server list
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

Prior to the recent update I was able to cob=nnect and play. I now seem to be unable to find any servers. Even server history is gone. I have changed filters to make sure noting is excluded but still no servers. I've left for 30 minutes after hitting refresh and still nothing. I have verified game cache.

It doesn't appear to be an internet issue as my son is able to play connected the same LAN

Just give it a few days. See if any server is in your history or friends tab. If not just try hitting the play button and see if it puts you in a server.

My workaround: Open DayZ, as soon as the menu buttons appear, quickly press the change server button. Next click refresh a few times and then click on the Internet tab at the top. If no servers appear within 30 seconds or so rinse and repeat. Sometimes I had to do this about 5 times for the server to start populating.

Otherwise just give it a few days. The server that hosts the server list is probably overloaded or something.

I have been doing the rinse and repeat for the last few days with no success. that's why i logged a job. I've uninstalled and reinstalled, also backed up and restored from back up. Nothing I have done over the past 3 days has populated the server list

Hi LedFlava,

This might be an explanation to the problem that you're experiencing (Thanks SmashT):

Please add -port=xxxxx into your DayZ launch options on your PC (-port=25007 for example). Right-click DayZ in Steam --> General --> Set launch options. The number doesn't really matter as long as it's different from the other computer which will use 2302, 2303, 2305 by default.

Basically, it's an issue with NAT translation. You've got two DayZ clients on the same network routing through the same public IP address. Even though they have 2 separate private IP's, they're both using the same standard ports... Most programs will generate a dynamic source port, DayZ doesn't do that so when NAT tries to translate your outgoing connections, your NAT firewall (192.168.0.1 and some public IP) can only support one or the other.

Alternatively, if you have access to the router settings and upnp is turned on, you can try turning it off, restarting router then trying again.

JStewart

When clicking on Launch Options it appears to come up with a password request? Screen cap uploaded. Says that it's for advanced users only. Is this correct?

Nope, not a password request, that's where you put in the launch option..in your case "-port=xxxxx" without the quotation and the "x" replaced with a port number like the one he suggested...

Hello again LedFlava,

as Mjollnir replied; that window has the textfield where you enter the launch options.
