I found repro, but it requires more conditions than the original post.
- Static weapon must be grouped with infantry group.
- Group must have a distant move waypoint (AI commander seems to consider the static gun as transport)
- After gunner gets killed, AI commander must give order to subordinate to "get in gunner" while gun is functional, then the gun gets completely destroyed prior to the new gunner getting in.
AI Issues:
- foolish AI commander seems to consider the static gun as transport.
- stubborn AI commander does not reassess if assigned vehicle is fit for use once he has made his decision.
Repro:
- In 2d mission editor, open the attached mission "27366_getInDestroyedStatic.Stratis"
- Preview mission.
- If bug does not occur, restart mission.
Related to #17904, because of infinite loop of AI leader issuing bad orders.
