Please note that I have a new finding regarding the performance. It turned out that resetting everything in Nvidia control panel to default settings changed performance drastically (I mean general 3d settings, not specific to DayZ).
I was messing with these settings for some time, changed few of them and its much better now, then i've tried to set everything to default and it's still good.

I also have problems with packing map. We need to ignore basically most of the errors to go through.

I just realised that there is now working option in the game settings to turn vehicles' UI off and it does what is says - disables it.
Okay so little update from my side.
I've updated config of my map and I have included class UsedTerrainMaterials and also I've changed my class Weather: Weather from old Cherno setting to the newest Livonia's setting available in the extracted game files.
By doing that I got rid of that weird glow on the grass etc. masks.

There are already 2 cars like Van or Multicar that are sitting in the game files for years and they were still not released.
Van is already in the DayZ as a wreck, but there is no driveable vehicle. But lately it was added to the Arma Reforger, so maybe it could be ported...
This is visible in many places across Sakhal...

No idea if you are aware of this, but AMD mentioned problems with DayZ performance as a known issue. There isnt much details, Im not using AMD myself but maybe it is somehow tied with MSAA or 1440p resolution?

There is a popular mod that lets you do it as a toggle option, but making it more immersive as an item would be interesting.
I don't mind it really, maybe it depends on resolution, on WHQ its ok. And I understand why its there, because people are lazy to find reliable info and once they see some weird bugs, they gonna mock the game as if it was stable release.
Also in vicinity it updates quite late when player approaches it.

There are already some updates for TB, more should come post 1.26 if I understand correctly. What about this one?

I did more testing on my local server since I've managed to update bios on my MOBO (previous version F5 from late 2022, not available to download anymore, current F29).
After doing that, there is a significant difference - FPS are still dropping but the stutter effect in many cases is gone or is much less noticeable. I tried running with MSAA enabled in the same locations near Severograd and performance was slightly better but without stuttering it looks much better.

Ok so after update 1.25 is even worse. There is no difference if I set the preset to Low or Extreme, results are almost identical. For example inside buildings on Livonia FPS jump between 75-90 FPS on both presets.
However, game is running way better, even on Extreme preset with maxed MSAA, when I switch to 1080p. Of course it drops FPS but its possible to get 120 FPS in many scenarios. And that weird feeling of stuttering lag is gone. The drops occur (even to 60-70 from 120) when character is inside buildings. In general, being close to buildings destroy performance a lot, even on 1080p.
BK-18 bugged (found gun with chambered bullet, not reloaded, bullet was visible also on the ground).

This is still happening. All sound from inside doors is played at the position of the outside doors.
Not sure if you have time for it in 2024 but it is still happening for chemlights and road flares.
Maybe it would be better to not allow players entering the cars with items in hands? Or at least not in the driver seat, since you can have everything in hands and you are still able to drive the car.

I can confirm that it was always a problem and many people try to avoid them due to stairs issues.
I do not agree. Maybe the time of strikes could be extended to make them less frequent, but they are adding more dynamics into the game.
Issue still occurs with car wrecks.
In this case on the image, I was standing in the blue circle and I've replaced boots which were inside the wreck in trunk with my own boots that were equipped in the inventory. The boots which were taken off from equipment, spawned on the roof.
After 2 updates it seems like it is still in the game unfortunately.

Hi, the bug is still here. Picture from 1.23 Livonia local server.
Seems like shattered glass is appearing only when player is between 20 up to 15m away from wrecks. If more than 20m or less than 15m glass is gone.
There is also a big difference with doors, seems like other wrecks got better LOD but for humvee its bugged.

Update for the previous post.
I noticed that on official Livonia map there are same bugs, for example transition between grass and dirt has leaves from forest, when in reality forest is further and does not touch this place.

Okay, another thing that seems to be "bugged" with those map settings... (especially looking at Cell size being 3.75).
There is a problem with correct transition between ground textures. I am totally aware of materials limit per cell. Everytime I regenerate my layers, Im using "6 materials per cell (Arma 2)" setting and I also do a double check of my mask layer with the custom tool called MaskColorChecker to see for any tiles with exceeded limit.
But textures after regenerating are still wrong, they have sharp edges and sometimes they inherit something from wrong materials. Example on the first attached photo.

If people don't like this idea in general and it makes conflicts regarding available loot, maybe it should be reworked only for joining with friends?
I have no idea how it works on consoles, but on PC Steam you have an option to join the game that your friend is actually playing. Maybe only in that case server should try to spawn the player joining the game somewhere near our friend (not in the same town exactly but in the next "bubble" or something like that). If it is possible with consoles as well, maybe thats a better solution to bring friends/teams closer. Of course, there should be a limit, like if the first player from that group of friends joins the server as a new character, there is a 2 or 5 minutes limit when you can join your friend in the nearby area. After that timer expires, it would spawn you randomly as before. That would prevent the situations where geared player can bring loot for friend from inland and pass it to a friend instantly.

Also the DayZ EU - DE 8350 (Exp) is under heavy load - for me it shows constant red icon for server and all actions are delayed.
