Hello Hubert,
your issues are caused by the old Intel Graphics Driver. Please update your drivers: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product/97500/Graphics-for-4th-Generation-Intel-Processors
You've entirely different issue than users in the other thread. Could you please try to switch to RC branch: https://dev.arma3.com/rc-branch
Edit: I'm sorry I just noticed that RC branch is not enabled. From what I can see it has something to do with loading incorrect data from vehicle configuration. Does the issue occurs without all the mods you have loaded?
Start the game through Arma 3 Launcher. When it crashes, Launcher should display "Unusual process exit" window with the option to prepare and save troubleshooting error. If the window is not displayed, go to BattlEye tab in Launcher, disable it and try that again.
Mar 25 2017
Could you please also upload the troubleshooting error generated from Launcher when the game crashes? I can't find any error logs from you related to the error. I'm sorry if I have missed some.
Hello fn_godo3,
please take a look at https://forums.bistudio.com/forums/topic/202921-bug-win7-laptop-cannot-start-game-after-168-update-code-0xc06d007e/?do=findComment&comment=3168124
@PFPowah So you've updated the drivers and it still doesn't work. Ok, lets try to crack the problem. Could you please upload me a new report from DX Diag?
@mush Workaround for the bug in the Intel Graphics Driver was pushed into the Arma 3 codebase yesterday. It's currently being tested.
Mar 24 2017
@PFPpowah: if you have only Intel graphics card, the only possible workaround for you is to try to update its drivers. As I said, the issue is within the Intel drivers, so it might be possible to update it to some newer version that doesn't have the issue anymore.
I'll look into it. It's there not because of DRM reason, but because AB actually used Steam do to something. If it will be possible to remove that, we'll do that.
Hello,
can you please try to start it in the safe-mode? https://arma3.com/launcher/troubleshooting

Also I'd like to ask those of you who experience this issue, have AMD/ATI cards and are willing to help us, please ping me. I'd like to check that it is the same kind of issue.
Hello everyone,
I believe that we've tracked and convicted the real culprit. It seems that certain version(s) of Intel HD Graphics driver - which is being loaded through the interconnection with nVidia drivers through nVidia Optimus technology (or it's alternative for AMD; it's the tech that switches the graphic cards) does some ugly things to the game, resetting some settings we set on start to defaults, causing the crash.
@tom_48_97 Could you please take a look? It looks like a binarize crash to me.

Hello,
thank your letting us know. We've discovered that the same happens with captain Jean-Luc Picard!

@onlyAgamer: could you please try to run version 139586 without moving it Arma installation folder (just unpack it to a separate folder) ? That version is what the one we've distributed with 1.66 so should run.
Mar 19 2017
@onlyAgamer: could you please download and try these two versions of Launcher?
Thank you very much. That is exactly what I need.
Well, that is the exactly the same Launcher that are be currently on in the Steam distribution. You can use the files from the archive to overwrite the files in Arma installation.
@GarciaK could you please run Launcher from here to see it that works: arma.jiripolasek.com/files/Launcher_140900.zip ?
@GarciaK, could you please get and upload Launcher logs: http://arma.jiripolasek.com/howtos.html ?
@onlyAgamer,
thank you for the logs. I've review them and the crash occurs while loading user interface deeply in Microsoft code, and I believe that it's because some files might be corrupted.
Hello,
according to the log Launcher can't access the file C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Arma 3\Launcher\log4net.dll.
Could you please check that the file is accessible (e.g. can be moved to desktop and back)? Also could you please try to remove the file, restart the computer, verify the integrity of the game cache and run Launcher again?
Mar 18 2017
I'm glad to hear that.
Sniperr,
please create a proper new ticket for you issue.
Hello,
thank you for reporting the issue. While we're investigating, could you please go to the folder G:\GAME\steamapps\common\Arma 3\!Workshop\ and delete @3den Enhanced from there?

could you please upload the preset?

Hello,
the system error code 0xc000007b means that the system is unable to start the program because of some missing library. We provide possible solutions for these errors here https://community.bistudio.com/wiki/Arma_3_Unusual_process_exit But given you've a problem on server, it might be faster if you skip to the last option and use Dependency Walker http://www.dependencywalker.com/ . You can upload the report from it (*.dwi file) here and we will determine the library that is causing the issue for you.
Mar 9 2017
Hello,
thank you for reporting the issue. We know about the issue, but unfortunately it can't be fixed. The issue is caused by a limit amount of data transferred from the server to clients, and as the data are transfer is handled by Steam libraries, we can't change it.

Hello,
thank you for reporting the issue. We've fixed the issue when mods Not allowed on server were not loaded despite the Keep loaded action was selected for them.

Hello Stricken,
does it only happen for RHS mods or does it also happen for any other mod?

- In Start menu locate Event Viewer (search for it or click Start, point to Programs, point to Administrative Tools, and then click Event).
- In the tree open Windows Logs / Application.
- There should be 2 errors recorded for every time Publisher crashed.
Hello Nife,
could you please check system event log for related crash report? The error that caused the crash is not present in any of the logs.

Hello,
you're missing one or more files. Please verify the game integrity using Steam to re-acquire them: https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=2037-QEUH-3335

Hello levettmoomoo,
could you please check your desktop for a text file with an error log (there should be one created every time the game failed to start) and upload that file?
Feb 14 2017
Closing the issue. Valve has acknowledged the issue with Steam client.
Steam is using the IP address and Steam query port to determine the game which you're joining to as it is registered on Steam master server under this combination.

Hello MrLispy,
thank you for letting us know. Enjoy the game.
Hello,
try to restart Steam when this happen. Does the process in memory use only about 2-3 MB of memory?

Hello SirBoston,
I'm afraid that you issue is not related to the game, nor anywhere between Launcher (or the other launcher) and the game.
Feb 3 2017
Thank your for the logs. This issue is caused by the Windows update KB3078601 and there is nothing we can do to prevent the issue at this time. You can either uninstall the update or wait for Microsoft to release a fixed version of the update.
Hello FoottballLegend,
could you please upload the file Arma3Launcher_Exception_20170203T121713.txt? It contains information about the crash.

Hello KevTheMaelstrom,
library C:\Windows\SysWOW64\XAPOFX1_5.dll is in a wrong version. To fix it you can replace it from the library from another PC with the same system, delete it and re-install DirectX or use fix from http://arma.jiripolasek.com/
