Publisher is unable to initialize
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

So to keep a long story short: my Publisher will crash shortly after attempting to connect to Steam.

Screenshot of the frozen screen.

I've attempted to verify the integrity, delete AppData caches, clear the logs, everything I could think of, and the problem still persists.

Attached below are the relevant logs:

arma3publisher.steam -

All help extremely appreciated as I really need to get this thing working.

Where can I find this log and under which filename? Thank you for the response.

  1. In Start menu locate Event Viewer (search for it or click Start, point to Programs, point to Administrative Tools, and then click Event).
  2. In the tree open Windows Logs / Application.
  3. There should be 2 errors recorded for every time Publisher crashed.

Hello Nife,
we've released update of Arma 3 Tools today. Is the issue still present in the updated Publisher?

It's been fixed, everything working so far. Thank you very much!

I've got a final question though: I'm a contributor to a certain mod I'm working on with a friend. Is it at all possible to edit the content of that mod using the Publisher or am I limited to the CMD?

I'm glad to hear that.

We've disabled support for contributors in Publisher because we've found that feature being unreliable and broken: when contributor has updated an item that item has became broken or unmaintainable for anyone. But that was a long time ago, it's possible that Valve has fixed the issue since then, but they never announce that.
