SuicideKing - apply "ultra" setting for dynamic light in video options (under HDR). But its really truth - there is some limit of lights, and overall quality of lighting was decreased. Why they didnt give us a option to turn lens flares off/on in options? Or to set arma 2 clouds? Wasnt that better solution to mkae everyone happy? I dont know who is director of arma project, but i think he is not right person to make decisions on design of the arma. That only my humble opinion - wrong priorities, ignorantion of some bugs (that are really gamebreaking) and creating sensless stuff like car customization.......

BUMP! Is this even readed? AI still have problems driving reverse ("revrese" command) its 50% chance they will obey the order.

Tea bag enemy? Play Battlefield or Call of duty, this meant to be simulation. Women in arma series appear only in Arma (Operation Flashpoint) Cold war Crisis and i remember she had good voice cover for cutscenes, but in game she was talking men sound, what was stupid and was verry bad immersion. If someone want women in game please call the modders, its not Charlie Angels.... Its it possible to vreate their model, but in this case voice cover specially for them is needed which mean other DLC propably, as this require loooooooooot of work as scripting for this voice, record new animations (maybe), and record this voice cover......

+1, one of most important bugs to fix. I'll try to write to true sky devs, its really annoying. I wish there could be option "clouds>very low" and adding arma 2 clouds with this option as a fix. It would be very cool to add option "beta clouds" as well as they wre look brilliant :

Idea is great, but BIS have it somewhere where the light does not come. I have my 2 sents as well :

  • Change AI behavior, so they will disembark ONLY when Damage level will be "RED" on HULL
  • Allow Crew members to fix tracks, engine and main gun.

BTW fixing track takes max 5 - 10 minuts to trained crew.

Sorry, but i need to BUMP this as its totally ignored. Please, make tanks combat playable, thats what we payed for!
Perfect solution is, when track is damaged, crew should wait till all danger disapear, scan horizon for few seconds 10 or 15, THEN disembark (one man) and repair track engine, or other part that is damaged. Repair time is diferent thing. Is this so hard to make it realistic and enjoyable?

Spamming? We are just reminding about them, If they will not care about them, they will just crash their game with new features, which will base on the unfinished/bugged features. Obvious? Hmm since 2 years - maybe its really obvious.

Yeah, it would take 1-2 days to fix it by create special animations, but its worth it, will be one serious bug less. Talk with animation guys (i guess they are working on Tanoa now) so they could bring us some great hit effects. We can wait few more days for Tanoa, as it will be really hell in case if AI special abilities like looking through vegetation.

ITS ONE OF BASIC CORE OF THE GAME same as :

  • Clouds (tranforming on edges while camera move - please implement arma 2 counds that are already in alpha - few hours of work!!!)
  • Hit animations - polish something what player faces every minute, or he will not face the game at all
  • PhysX on vehicles - please fix turbo-rocket jumping super-tanks as its totaly gamebreaking.
  • Fatigue system - please let player feel he is operating soldier, not pregnant woman
  • Sound placement - please fix The sound placement (louder sound of vehicle driving by, longer distance of vehicles engines sound, and explosions - louder and luder!)
  • AI visibility through vegetation (now testing)
  • Ai Shooting accuracy (reduce!)
  • Ai Driving (stick to the road)

Is this so hard to fix this tickets SINCE 2 years!? ITS BASIC OF THE GAME FOR THE CHRIST SAKE! For example Rockstar games making GTA V took 4 months to polish the game to be beauty, bug-free, good optimized and enjoyable.

Most frustrating question is, why you are making DLC's, some Tanoa island which havent sens at all (player vs terminators in jungle able to see and shoot you in one shot from any distance)

I'm very disapointed. Fisr - you sell game through steam - player buying it, and havent option to sell it (must have still non-finished, almost unplayable beta of game), your team is focused on adding new feature, basicly working on no working features, what making wrong circle. FIRST BASIC, THEN NEW STUFF, Otherwise you will still get what you have NOW
"Fixing this is impossible, beacuse other things stop working" - you have answer for that. PLEASE FOCUS ON BASICS!

As i see literrally ZERO changes i suggest you FOR the start Apply the basic option THAT ARE ALREADY IN .cfg and .arma3profile OPTIONS FILES in Game video options [create new tab, or add those options to existing tabs] or create whole new window in launcher named [GAME OPTIONS], and clouds appearing after moving mouse cursor over the option, teling what doest this option do, AND WHAT IT MAINLY USE (CPU, GPU, RAM etc). It would be awesome step forward in making more video options. Please move it from incubator to first plan.

+1 upvoted. Specially annoying is grass rendering over few meters - its should be better renderd, so some option about this is would be nicely welcomed. As additional setting i would put "Animals destiny" to set how many those damm rabbits jump up :D It is not so hard for devs, specially if engine VR 4 is opened for such things.

Damm good idea, but i think it's very hard to implement. There will must be restriction, controlled by ammunition type, so if las hit was made by explosice energy car will blow up, but if last hit was made by normal round, car will last with minimal "health status" so it would not explode. Or diferent way by creating script that will blow vehicle in some cases, but overall blowing car will not be so easly possible.

I tried on 1.52RC and this is... funny. Its just like man with RPG in my squad is disabled. He had 4 shots, having clear trajcectory to the tank (target) and crew havent seen him, AND HE MISS, crew saw him, i ordered him to back off, situation repeated 4 times, and HE was dead and i was forced to destroy tank by myself.

Its officially finished, but still there is work on it, just look at arma 2 OA 1.62 and A3 - now i play only A2, beacuse A3 is simply unfinished for me, Beacuse of this, mods for this game cannot be finished as well, ArmA 3 will be finally finished on half or on the end of 2016 (i hope it will be faster)

For now they stays in back too often, and shooting from longer distances = less accuracy.I would say they should being more accurate in keeping formation.

Mine too, specially after i writed repro steps, nothing was changed. Yesterday my gameplay in arma 2 was broken when my teammembers should be in script zone - they cant beacuse of stuck - now same bug in arma 3 - after healing, sometimes after rearming, TOO OFTEN!

Sorry for the vlad, idea about grass is great, +1, for now game is unplayable when "grass" is shooting to you (you dont see enemy - he is sinked in terrain)

and??? BIS, why you are making you work harder - i just dont get t. You have pretty mess in tickets - some are revieved, some are acknowledge bud if you were processed ticket by your team and decided not apply it, please close this tickets, or at leas write whats the status. Acknowledge - Do the same, how we can know what you decided? Do you have lack of peoples here? I can do that for free for some time as i have lot of free time now (very lot), if you will give me info what you decided and in short why.

This idea is great and IT NOT EAT A LOT OF CPU/GPU - i remember this solution on very old games (about driving trucks on the highways) - for the first i was thinnking it was artefacts, but later i saw that is shadow made by ground from the lights of my truck. I'm talking about games from 2000 - 2002 so please, apply few lines so ground could produce the shadow.

I guess, this is still BETA, they introduced features, tested it, and will be fixed finally in Arma 4 with normal hardware. This is some test version. Doom4MR, i agree, they should fix most major bugs since 2 years, and dlc is biggest mistek they done - just after releasing game in early acces - its second biggest mistake. You have to employ people to support, and control up-to-date issues, instead of continue "making" a game. I hope Arma 4 will be setted in present times, with fully modelated Russian army (not as before in arma series, where tanks was auwful and Russians was not so polished as US) and US army, and it will not be in early access.

Somehow i agrre with you, but this game is still W.I.P. if patches will stop coming out, then game will be finished, Now i'm playing Arma 2 1.62 and i'm impressed how all this things work. I hope this will be implemented in Arma 3

I havent more fps as well, but Change this option in arma3.cfg and it will gain 15 + fps. Also consider lovering draw distance to 2.3km and objects also to 2.3 - for me it was enough to play at 30-40 FPS. It will not change anything to worse, you will not notice any change besides FPS

I can give you next little advice to save few FPS. Its anisotopic filter - disable it in game option (video options) and TURN IT ON in Graphic Control Panel (Catylist Control Center, Nvidia Control Panel), If you have i5 4 cores CPU try to use "tbb4malloc_bi" instead of standard malloc. Switch off explorer.exe, and set game on high priority (in task manager - ctr + shift + esc)
Before runing game try to switch into offline mode in steam, switch off antivirus, disconnect with internet (if you play in Single, if you play in multi, let connection on), Go to My Documents/Arma 3/arma3.cfg, open it via notepad, and search:
GPU_MaxFramesAhead=X;
GPU_DetectedFramesAhead=X;
and in X place put 1, so it will look like this :
GPU_MaxFramesAhead=1;
GPU_DetectedFramesAhead=1;
In game launcher set to use all cores.
Then do first steps wile game is launching and you will gain few (10-15) FPS more.
But please, Bohemia, fix it now, i'm happy you finally changed you plans, and fixing basis, but increase the usage of PC components please. Game will run better, more scripts will be played correctly, people will have less problems. Also think about bigger usage for GPU - for bigger capabilities of CPU. As allways fingers crossed!
