thank you for the feedback.
thank you for the feedback.
please check out this ticket
https://feedback.bistudio.com/T117492
The problem seems to be the point within the vehicle PCML is targeting itself into. When shot from pretty much above the target - shooter standing at seven 20*10*8m VR blocks at 300m from the target - PCML produces a first hit destruction of the vehicles.
The Hellcat Helicopter is a vanilla aircraft with search light.
Thanks for all answer!!
That unfortunately is beyond my knowledge, I would recommend visiting a BI Forum or other community page, people there have vast knowledge and are always willing to help.
thank you for the feedback.
So there is no way to create control with image with ctrlCreate, right? If no, Do you know if dev ll add new control to do this?
@BI Stop doing halfass work man! Why was this not working when released? Why release something only half working. Is this what we are paying 60$ dollars for?
I have discussed this with the devs and it seems that it is incorrectly sorted into the RscXxxxxxxxxx, the structure of it however gives away it is not a control.
Hmm, although changing it (as above) made a difference, it does not seem to be a consistent fix, as I first thought. There seems to be more to it than this.
In the meantime, just use this:
Ancillary sub-page of ctrlCreate, listing control classnames available in config:https://community.bistudio.com/wiki/ctrlCreate/classnames

Managed to get a crash, here's the dump files (verified installation and also bi malloc).
Just done a test and it went blocky for a while but then recovered and carried on as normal.
Yes, sorry I forgot about the malloc - I tried a different one last night and forgot to change it back.
So, the first thing would be

Is there anything else I can check?
Sorry to come back with bad news - just got a crash - no mdmp file (but I read somewhere it won't generate if mem is low).
Great to hear that :)
Ok, that's much better now - I have the correct RC installed and the mission is running with no errors (which is good), plus, the pagefile is filling up like a boss.
Sorry - had an old RC code so it downloaded the stable branch instead - have applied the correct code now and it's redownloading (my upstairs neighbour has kindly let me run an internet cable into his router so it's a lot quicker than doing this off my internet connection)!
razael,
I tested the issue under 1.64 RC and it is still broken there.
Yes that is correct, what I had in mind was that RC might have included a fix, from your comment I get it that situation is not better, am I right?
I can't run it as the update for addmissioneventhandler wasn't included in the RC branch:
Already done all that.
and RC branch was released just recently that should contain some fixes. Would you please try to switch to the RC and check it out?
thank you for the feedback.
so the RC branch should be now available and with it there were some fixes made as well as some tweaks that should help us determine what might be the issue should you still experience it.
RscButtonImages is not a control so you cannot create it using ctrlCreate
Additionally, given the error logged in your crashdump files, I would recommend going through these steps:
https://community.bistudio.com/wiki/Arma_3_Unusual_process_exit#0xC0000005_-_ACCESS_VIOLATION
Thank you very much, will look into that immediately.
@HQJaTu Fix is available in the dev branch and should be also available in the RC and will be soon available in the main/stable branch. Unfortunately I do not know the exact date when new main/stable branch update is rolling out.
an RC branch is currently available on the Steam, would you mind trying that out? It should contain some fixes for issues that expressed themselves similar way so it might be worth a shot. If it does crash again on RC, crashdump files will be welcome :)
Thank you very much for the heads up, we will look into that.
Could you please try to use for example Dropbox to upload the file or upload the ZIP file? MDMP file might be a problem when uploading the files, ZIP files however are enabled and should upload fine. If not, please try to use the Dropbox (or any other free file sharing service that suits you).
Hello,
the error message says that you're missing one of these two files:
- dwrite.dll - this file is part of Windows, so you have to let Windows to repair itself: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/929833
- wpftxt_v0400.dll - this file is part of Microsoft .NET Framework; try to re-install the latest version of .NET Framework https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=53345 and/or run the .NET Framework Repair Tool in the case the re-install doesn't help you https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30135

Ok, cool that this is fixed. When is this due to be released?
Nope, no workarounds outside of using a 3rd-party mapping utility like Xpadder, which we don't like using. This never happened until after the APEX update. I also have not received any reply from the development team.
I would like an answer to tell that this bug will be fix, and may be a time to wait to solve it. It just a minor bug and this is really fast to solve it..
Ok I think I've figured out how the crash works on my PC.
upping three times on a Sunday might not be the best thing to make things go forward :)
things here are not immediate, you may want to wait some time before upping.
