If this is on an official server you can relog to another server that shares your character which will result in character position reset. If this is on a community server, then you will have to contact the server owner/admin.

I was seeing that as well. Another odd thing I'm seeing with no error messages specific to really hint so far at it is sometimes players will join, and suddenly it's as if nothing works anymore. Players will see there are people online, they can walk around. No one can loot, access inventory, picking things up doesn't work, health and bars stop working. People will leave and then nothing works until the server restarts. Sometimes after a restart one or two of the players having the issue rejoin and it crashes. Other times the server will just disconnect after an hour.
At this point i have actually done a fresh wipe on my server, made sure gcc is updated, reinstalled the game entirely and it doesn't seem to matter if it's vanilla or if it is modded, it'll behave for a little while and then the behavior starts again with the same symptoms of people getting access errors, server crashes, and overall strange server behavior. So far have not seen any responses from BI. I see other stating they had issues with airdrops and stopping using that fixed it, however, I am not using any such mod, and have witnessed the behavior even without a list of mods (reduced my server down to just the map).
Likewise with the weird behaviors, if I wipe players.db everyone can suddenly play for a short period of time till a crash, then inevitably people either cannot join, or join and get crashes, or client side crashes. If I transfer that players.db (the broken one) to another server, even another platform (linux, windows, doesn't matter), I can reproduce the behavior.

I can't prove a negative but I can confirm that I haven't yet seen this issue on an official server I started on the same machine.
I wonder if launching Steam with -nodns (that supposedly disabled steam's dns caching) actually helps to resolve the above.
I will try this myself however I am not seeing this error that often.

our server just started crashing today
ill attach our 2 most recent crashes because they are different
1 with access violation and 1 wihout
not a huge issue. i actually kinda dont mind not needing battery to use it lol but a bug is a bug
I don't have any airdrop mods, and I can't even load into the server before it crashes, and the same for other players.

The problem I am currently facing is very strange. When the server is just started, joining the server will not cause any problems. After waiting for the server to run for a period of time, joining the server will cause the server to crash. During the server's operation, there are no other players, and the server can run for more than 10 hours without anyone else. Only when I enter, it crashes immediately

I have gone as far as removing every single mod except for CF, and GSC gameworld assets, and PripyatGamma. Even tho I removed almost every mod, I still was getting the access violation error and GSCgameworl assets and PripyatGamma are the map mods required for PripyatGamma to run. Thats bare minimum on the mods and still ran into this error.

We have tested this internally but we are unable to reproduce the issue described.
We are however aware of the feedback about the current state of footsteps and it is being taken into account.

I just want to add we have disabled Expansion Airdrops on our server as of 2 days ago and there has not been one server crash since. We also have quite a lot of map edits on the server too that we load with the EditorLoader mod and this has not caused any crashes so far.
@Geez I have been playing around with this for hours now and I still cannot wrap my head around it. This must be some kind of desync issue. Here is what I have found
- I modified the mission server to save the last logged out player and not delete the player when the client logged out. Also in the OnClientReadyEvent I do GetGame().SelectPlayer(identity, oldPlayer) and ignore the player loaded from the DB and the same problem occurs
- I tried resetting entity flags, entity events, physics, simulation and more things I cannot remember anymore and none of them seem to fix the problem
- Each time I select the player again I have to wait even longer than I had to wait the previous time. For example after the first time it takes 7 seconds to catch up, then 14 seconds and then 21 seconds. It seems like the sync of the player happens after x seconds after the player is spawned. That would explain why I can immediately select a newly spawned player, but a player, that already existed for a few seconds, takes longer

This happens to me as well in Official servers, mainly with knives and guns, please fix <3 , it really breaks the immersion of the game, and i can't tell when i take out items.
Maybe I should contact one of the developers and provide a server machine for a full analysis? This is already "f0сkеd 0p", take the initiative and find the problem!

Yes, the cars are slowly sinking into the ground and then vanishing under the map. It’s really annoying when you have loot and it’s gone.
Also, i think ticket name is sort of wrong "Actions ending with a lambda are crashing the server" just change it to Client crashes :P
