@jamue Yes, U-turn have no sense when you laying hidden in grass, of course. You can't mark shooter(no sense), but you can mark the place where the sound came from. Infected shouldn't know who was the shooter until he didn't see him. It's good when infected responds to sounds and visual perception only. This is how they working now. I enjoy it when, you shoot in the city and have time to hide until the infected come and can see you. I remember those times, and I'm glad they're gone when the infected would attack the nearest target only. However, in some cases a U-turn can occur today. I agree that this inaccuracy can be very frustrating, especially when you are trying to remain a hidden spectator. :(

It absolutely makes sense, that they attach to a target along the way to the shooter. BUT: Make the vision field of the Z's smaller as soon as they react to a sound. It makes no sense for them to turn around 179° because there is someone closer. Also, when shooter and target are only 20-40 m appart from each other, the gun should always be the louder signal source for the Z's. I've had situations, where I got shot at, the shooter was roughly 100 m from me away, there were Z's between him and me, all closer to him, still I had to manage with them and I didn't even shoot back. Z's are stupid, you are right, but they need to be the right kind of stupid, not "we run into the complete opposite direction of the shot" stupid.
When I make no noise at all and I am prone in the grass, spectating a gun fight, Z's should NEVER attach to me, that makes absolutely no sense to me. They should just ignore the player for that case. Can't you flag a shooter as "hot target" and a player who was laying prone by the time of the shot, a "cold target", or invisible target? There should be a weighting for possible targets, depending on their stance, movement speed and "most recent" activity.

@Nate_LapT This issue has nothing to do with mods, it's a completely different problem. I have 4 mods.
If you read it again carefully, you will understand that the loading time is only 4 minutes, not more, and not 20 or more. You can also see it in the video.
When you submitted your ticket on October 22, 2022, the Chinese servers had not yet been filtered.
Are you talking about the deer barking sound? They do that IRL.
I think the issue is more, the infected have super human sight. Also super hearing on bullet impact.. When the gun is louder than the impact the infected should not be moving towards the quieter sound even though it's closer.
@raxto Purge your mods. I'm betting you have 100+ mods downloaded.
The launcher takes 20+ mins to process the server list if you have too many mods to validate.

That make sense for me, because when they see somebody along the way to target, they switch to first visible target, doesn't matter who is shooting, they are following sound. The infected are not very intelligent.

I read almost everything about this problem.
I tried the two discord solutions (closed it/run it as an administrator). Nothing changed.
Tried the cmd ipconfig /release, ipconfig /renew. Nothing changed.
Refreshed my driver. Nothing changed.
Reinstalled the game. Nothing changed.
Tried DZSA Launcher. Nothing changed.

I did uninstall/reinstall Visual and redistributables. I installed the newest version of Visual though, I'll uninstall that and try out the 2012 version now

There have been some adjustments for the 1.20 stable which should greatly improve this problem.
The issue appears to be related to the mods you are running. This might be either an issue with the mod itself which has to be fixed by the mod creator, or the mod is corrupted.
We suggest that you try to uninstall/unsubscribe all your mods, then verify the game data and re-download the mods again. If the issue still persists upon doing so, then it is very likely an issue within the mod itself.
You can also try to contact the server admin to try to remove your character from the database to resolve the issue.

Ticket can be closed, for future reference for others: the class HumanItemAccessor methods for each entity is tied to Human instance. Access it via Human::GetItemAccessor(); and the methods within HumanItemAccessor will be relative to the entity. The features mentioned above in the original ticket are working as intended

after deleting my Events files and changing the weather ingame with admin panel, the fog and overcast appears and aren't restricted in a range

I mean. New launcher won't fix the problem. I prefer the standart one, moreover I really want to find out what's the problem. Is it the game, steam, or my PC?
@Geez Battlemetrics have same problem to decode A2S_RULES correctly in some cases.
@Geez There is misplaced UV position in UV space of LOD4 for b_sambucusNigra_1s_summer plant.
It can be corrected in UV space or in texture file.

I believe it is toggleable with server settings which is nice, but it's a shame that this will affect the vanilla game.
I really like the eye zoom change.
Just revert the change completely, an unnecessary change that was only made for the sake of realism and it just frustrates the player, pointless.

Thats not nice, all that time for looting and then just lost it all because of a bug in one sec.
I'm not a Dev, however I would assume the simplest way to do this is that if the UI is not open on the piece of clothing the new items will not be placed in there.
For example you can open or close the inventory of each piece of clothing or backpack while in the "inventory menu", if you hide those from view the item would be placed in the next available location that is visible while you are in your inventory. It's a new system that would require some getting used to however the player has the control and can learn how it works to prevent issues.
Also set a priority, container in hands gets first item placement choice then vest-coat-belt-pants-backpack. If any are hidden from view in UI they are skipped and cooking pots, drybag, frying pan, med pouch ect can only be filled if they are in your hands.
Doing this should result in items not being placed in hidden spaces when you just take it from the loot location. Only drawback I see is it forces the player to place the other container mentioned above in their hands in order to pick up any items that no longer fit in the clothing/backup.
