Upload crashdump with latest date in name (crashdump is rpt + bidmp + mdmp file with same name). Please try to provide as many crashdumps as possible, it helps us investigating the problem in a big way.

My issue wasn't with that.
But to be sure I did try to blow up 2 objectives without getting spotted. And nothings happen.
I mean AI react, and look for me. But when we shoot at the enemy there is a radio debrief that ends with something like "Keep me updated, I don't want to be here longer than i have to."
And this doesn't happen if player just use bomb

ATL (Above Terrain Level) camera mode was present in Zeus, and based on that experience, we decided not to use it. It's unpredictable and uncomfortable in most of situations. As a matter of fact, we're planning to introduce ASL (Above Sea Level) camera mode from Eden back to Zeus at some point.

Closing here, it's not a bug. We may allow switching to ATL mode in editor preferences once they're implemented though.

Do you mean the camera should maintain constant altitude above terrain, instead of flying straight (i.e., maintaining altitude above sea level)?

Correct. This way you as developers and we as moders have easyer way of working in editor. Not stucking in hill/mountain and have to correct the camera.

Also i forgot to mention, i use WASD to move.

More information:

  • Chose town Negades.
  • Don't move your camera.
  • Look on front there will be hill.
  • Use shift + mouse to speed up moving to hill.
  • Go directly with camera to that hill, do not move mouse at all. / Camera will not adapt to the hill. This is the bug. Camera should adapt to the hill.

  • Where were you testing it? Random town at average height is rather generic description.
  • Are you controlling camera by WASD, or by mousewheel?
  • How will the camera be reset?

I didnt have problem with slow FPS. Game was working good intil sudden crash that occured in different moments. It ditnt only slowed down but the graphics get dramatically changed into a strange rectangular form. i asked for money back and steam accepted that.

I had a similar error as I started with Arma3 (alpha release march 2013).

I actually use a GTX580 (3GB) and used Core 2 Duo with 2.60 GHz. The game ran slow as hell in all graphic modes. The CPU was a bottleneck. I upgraded my CPU to an i7 3370K (3.50 GHz). Since that upgrade I was able to play with maxed out graphic modes and 30-90 frames per second.

As far as I can see, you are playing Altis Life. Not the best game mode for a smooth gameplay (depends on how many players are online). Most of these non official game modes (like King of the Hill) use heavy scripts and are not well optimized.

intel core 2 duo g840 2.80 ghz.
I cant upload logs because i deleted game in anger- cos i expected that for this money i will receive a Game not a buggy shit crashing in all modes, in all graphic modes.

In sub standard specs it was quite normal FPS.

I had some info after closing game that it couldnt load a file from bin catalog

My insurgency, war thunder, bf 3, bf bc2 never crashed. Those games might slow down in higher specs.. but never Crash.

Can i have my money back?

Could you please export your logs from Arma launcher and attach them?

Steps on how to export logs from ARMA 3 Launcher:

  1. Start ARMA 3 Launcher
  2. Click the Hamburger menu tab in the launcher (Top right corner. Next to Options (Cog wheel icon) and Minimize Button)
  3. Drop down menu will appear
  4. Select: Prepare Arma Troubleshooting error and save those files
  5. A notification will pop up with the name of the generated file

Hi Adam thx for info I found dumps in another backup profile dir I had to create 6 months ago. The mdmp is 7-zip format that I think is compatible with WinRAR, if not I will try a different format. Stay frost, ElPablo

p.s. there is some info about the USB joystick in there that may be useful for another issue I have, yer yer I know 1 thing at a time!

A temporary fix for this is to make a copy of the array when setting tPos2.

Example: tPos = [0,0,0]; tPos2 = +tPos; tPos resize 2;

In the above example tPos is [0,0] and tPos2 is [0,0,0] which is what I expected from the examples above.

This behavior also happens with any engine commands that modify an array by reference.

This appears to be because the BIS_fnc_inTrigger function utilizes the resize command which seems to be modifying all references to the array instead of making a copy and changing just that one variable.

If I execute this code: tPos = [0,0,0]; tPos2 = tPos; tPos resize 2;

I would expect tPos to equal [0,0] but I do not expect tPos2 to equal [0,0] as well.

Problem solved!
After some awesome Support from Bohemia with a Support Ticket. I got it fixed... or better my provider got it fixed by changing my modem back to full ipv4 support.
The problem really is the port forwarding which is how ever not possible anymore with ipv6!

Also this is after role assigned and recieving mission, I could hear game sounds as well. Esc wouldnt let me out of this. Only solution - restart client

Hello, we are sorry you are experiencing issues with our game.
Could you please export your game log files from the launcher?

Steps on how to export logs from ARMA 3 Launcher:

  1. Start ARMA 3 Launcher
  2. Click the Hamburger menu tab in the launcher (Top right corner. Next to Options (Cog wheel icon) and Minimize Button)
  3. Drop down menu will appear
  4. Select: Prepare Arma Troubleshooting error and save those files
  5. A notification will pop up with the name of the generated file

Please note that the files might take a while to collect.

Attach the generated files to the ticket. If the files are too big please use some free file sharing service.

Also, please check if your page file is enabled and how big the page file is.

How to check your page file:

  1. Go to control panel
  2. Select System
  3. Select Advanced System settings in the left menu
  4. In the new popup window select Advanced and and Click settings under Performance
  5. New window will pop up. Select advanced again and check the Virtual memory tab
  6. The total paging file size for all drives number represents your page file size.

Is your hardware overlocked (CPU,GPU and RAM mainly)

Lastly, we are preparing a special .EXE of the game with extended logging capability so we can identify the problem faster and with more accuracy.
Would you be able to play the game with mentioned .EXE so we can find fix for the issue faster?
This helps us investigating your problem in a big way.

Same problem here...

I think it is caused by the fact that 'incapacitated state' seems to count as being dead so the character is reset with default gear.

Incapacitated state should kick in at about 50% health (instead of 0%) to prevent this from happening.
