Eden test: Launcher version: 1.2.132628 - 1.53.132628
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

Just tested eden on dev branch (nice work well done, all) created a temp MP sceranio and previewed it for 5 minutes. I exited the editor back to the main menu and received a windows warning box complaining about a memory allocation error. Doh! no screen shot. Arma crashed. I cant now find the crash report. So at this early stage in Eden beta testing would it be hard to

  1. set alternative crash dump dir from the launcher, also displaying which dir is currently set.
  2. attach the most recent crash report in to the feedback system by the click of a button.
  3. create a hardware default profile for logging multiple bugs on the same system setup where hardware changes are infrequent.

Additional Information

multiple test platforms, storage devices and test projects can make logging bugs difficult for an end user. Making it easier still to log a bug may result in a better feedback gathering

Hello,
Thank you for reporting the issue.
We need crash dump files from this folder to analyze your problem.
C:\Users\<Name>\AppData\Local\Arma 3\
Can you upload somewhere in winrar package, please?
Archive smaller than 5000 KB can be attached directly to the ticket. For bigger archives, please use some free sharing service and post link here.

How to find correct crashdump file:
Try to make the crash happen
Look into crashdump folder
Upload crashdump with latest date in name (crashdump is rpt + bidmp + mdmp file with same name). Please try to provide as many crashdumps as possible, it helps us investigating the problem in a big way.

Thank you.

Hi Adam thx for info I found dumps in another backup profile dir I had to create 6 months ago. The mdmp is 7-zip format that I think is compatible with WinRAR, if not I will try a different format. Stay frost, ElPablo

p.s. there is some info about the USB joystick in there that may be useful for another issue I have, yer yer I know 1 thing at a time!
