Arma 3 Activity
May 10 2016
no, it would make things pretty much worse because everyone would have it as it is now, and then it would have no purpose
But i cant drive cars atm..thats horrible. A little slider which doesnt do that much would be better than always fixing it.
Closing in favor of assigned ticket: #20215.
"i would prefere you put a slider in the options where you can decide how direct your vehicle directs"
Sorry, but i think that would pretty much break the game
Ooh, sorry! I misunderstood your ticket. Ignore my first comment.
Still not fixed in 1.34
yeah but missions from subfolders are not downloaded to clients
Can't confirm this. All my testing has shown that subfolders are being send to clients just fine.
Still present today!
16:59:34 Warning Message: Bad vehicle type ParachuteC
16:59:34 Warning Message: Bad vehicle type ParachuteC
16:59:34 Warning Message: Bad vehicle type ParachuteC
Also didn't realize until recently that it also happens with helicopters. (Though I suspect the scripting for the action is much the same across all the vehicles that support it).
Proposed fix: Instead of choosing a parachute based on the side of the unit, choose it based on the faction of the vehicle.
Makes more sense that way anyway and eliminates an error message at the same time.
Still present in v1.34
Can confirm the problem is only present for civilians
Just tested and this still occurs in 1.24
Guys, come on. Use LogMeIn Hamachi.
I connect to my friends via the "LAN" page in multiplayer, or connect via IP.
I've never ever had connectivity issues.
It literally takes like 10 minutes to set up. And then you have a private network for free for up to 5 people at a time.
The actual problem is, that it takes a lot of time, until the server of others shows up. For the time now, patience is the key.
If it doesn't show up, try to enter the ip of your friend in the server browser.
jesus christ, i hate BIS but your arguments are so childish....
Way to be a child. Why did you even open this issue when you have an existing issue in which a dev has already given you a response?
I can't post a note on another ticket it seems, but http://feedback.arma3.com/view.php?id=19776#bugnotes is identical to my issue. Same servers, everything.
Thank you for the files, they have been sent for analysis.
Will do - I found that I could work around the issue by:
- Switching to another windows user
- Connect to the server
- Disconnect from the server
- Switch back to my main user
- Connect to the server
This worked for me twice yesterday and I could be in game for a couple of hours. I am not *certain* that switching the user fixed it, but, big coincidence!
I have previously tried restarting my computer without any success - it was only switching user and connecting as that user that seemed made it work - very very weird.
I will upload some more crash dumps shortly.
This issue no longer occurs on connect - the server I play on has had a recent update - but happens when I am in game - normally when I'm flying a helicopter or something so lots of passengers die :-(
I have 4 crash reports from the last day or two, so will attach them now.
Hello,
can you please upload at least three more crashdumps?
Thank you very much.
Same joystick, same problem. I remember playing Arma 3 with this joystick before, with no problems (it might have been before july though).
I tried workaround it with connecting joystick after game lauches, but then game crashes after I go to settings.

EDIT: according to this thread
http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?169250-Speedlink-Black-Widow-Issues
the workaround is to remove producers drivers and to use windows drivers.
Hello,
Thank you for reporting the issue.
We need crash dump files from this folder for solve your problem.
C:\Users\<Name>\AppData\Local\Arma 3\
Can you upload somewhere in winrar package please?
When package will be smaller than 5000k, you can attach it here. When package is bigger, please use some free sharing service and post link here.
How to find correct crashdump file:
Try to make the crash happen
Look into crashdump folder
Upload crashdump with latest date in name (crashdump is rpt + bidmp + mdmp file with same name). Please try to provide as many crashdumps as possible, it helps us investigating the problem in a big way.
Thank you.
This issue occurs for me too.
Same exact Joystick, the SL-6640 Black Widow Flightstick.
I have attached the logs.
The key bit is "Error: JoystickDevices - CoInitilizeEx return 80010106" in the RPT.
Was with both the last stable build, and now still again with the one today. Did not happen with a build about 6 months ago, but I forget which build exactly that was.
Added the full crash dump from 2 crashes.
One from a crash on launch with the joystick plugged in. The other file is from a crash on attempt to open the configure controls menu after plugging in the controller.
The file is 11.7MB and can be found here:

This is yet another engine problem which exists since OFP was released.

+1, although setting wind [0,0,true] didn't help
setWind array doesn't seem to work correctly, I had more luck actually negating the current wind, i.e. setWind [-(wind select 0), -(wind select 1), true], although even there the result is not always 0.
I just tested again, if wind is exactly [0,0,0] then the parachute stays perfectly still, however a 0.01 value is enough to make it flip over.
@Xeno: Lol. If this bug is there since OFP, then the chances of having it fixed are little to none, as usual.
@Rellikplug: No, this doesn't have to do with the azimuth or setDir directly. It's not related to the editor, but rather the physics engine.
Related to this http://feedback.arma3.com/view.php?id=15983?
Also happens which static guns
I really am sorry sir, I think this might be the thing your looking for.
This is the same issue as 0018554, just in a different situation.
Hello? Its been four months. Is it to late for a refund? I mean really.
If this assists you in any way.

No they are not.
Here. Might this help?

Good sir, They arent there. Ive completely deleted all files related to arma 3, deleted the steam local cache, and am currently begining to reinstall Arma 3 for I believe the fourth time. My friend Gunter Severloh is trying to assist me, yet is perplexed by my problem. Any assisstance would be lovely.
What do?
The dumps should be in the same folder as your rpt files, are they there?
Tiny problem. I can't seem to locate them. I followed the instructions presented via http://feedback.arma3.com/how-to-user.html , and couldn't find them, nor is using the start search bar to hunt for it, or even just my search directory. Nothing. I really do apologies, all I can find is the RPT files, not the bidmp or mdmp. I apologies for being veritably retarded.
Welp, Did a virus scan, full, CCcleanered any programs that I wasn't using ( old games, etc) , and completely uninstalled arma 3 and all related mods and such, loaded up fresh vanilla arma 3 , and it still crashes. Crash files uploaded. *sighs* Gentlemen, whats wrong with my arma 3? And is it to late for a refund? *chuckles* I kid of course. I just want it working. That isnt that much to ask, ja?
Hello,
you uploaded only rpt files, wee need the whole crashdumps (crashdump is rpt + bidmp + mdmp file with same name).
I have deleted the obsolete or irrelevant files, thank you.
