When I think about it, the explosive strength tends to even-out with other mitigating factors, such as being able to survive nearby simply being behind a rock or other concrete structure.
Likely one of the reasons somebody wants to minimize the explosive effect of satchels, so they don't have to walk as far or can minimize the chances of them being killed by one. ;-)
Think the explosive radius is pretty much similar to reality. Might want to tweak other factors, such as increasing shrapnel damage or increasing human explosive pressure damage. Might also consider increasing sound DB levels of of the explosion when immediately nearby.
I'm pretty happy with the performance of the satchels and the powerful punch of they provide within the game, as well as most damage caused. Think there's far more important bugs to work on.
when one demo charge, not satchel charge, can take out a concrete building 3 stories tall alone, they are overpowered...
Oops. My mistake, I was presuming this was concerning the satchel charge!
They're strong on buildings - but if you use them on a Sochor 2S9 it takes about 9-10 to completely destroy it!!!
Its not fixed, still blows up whole houses and kills from 40 meters away.

It has been always that way, I remember back in OFP they were like an artillery shell :P
Charges should be strong enough to destroy/disable a vehicle but not a whole building
If you insist on using setHit, you should use "main_turret_hit" or "vez".
Otherwise I advice you to use setHitPointDamage.
Was just about to post this. Good ticket, it's very annoying :D
I also noticed, if a player maps the weapon cycle targets keys for jets to the same joystick button as the cycle targets key for helicopters, the cycle targets function or key mapping becomes dysfunctional when flying in the helicopter gunner seat.
For a pilot to use this function successfully within both the helicopter and jet for targeting, they likely need to assign a separate key or separate joystick button to the one or two cycle targets key mappings or functions within the weapons key mapping configuration menu!
It seems quite odd that there are separate keys for cycling targets within the key mapping configuration menu for jets and helicopters! Shouldn't these be combined, and utilized for all types of aircraft?

Using 1.44 stable, the issue seems to have been fixed for Hunters, Striders, Commanche.
It's absolutely not fixed for me. Noticed this bug just today when I tried gunning from helicopters. For me it's just to enter the editor and follow the repro steps, but with a helo in this case.. Big issue!
I think its fixed in dev build 124741 cant reproduce it anymore

Similar situation - btw. i've got default controls + added controls for my joystick.
I have had this problem also; on many ground and air vehicles. It is extremely irritating and occurs seemingly randomly.
@OMAC: can you also remove the part about "player as gunner", please? This issue can be reproduced in other ways (example: starting as pilot, then switching seats).

Done. I have been noticing that annoying "turned out" issue a lot in tanks, and had been wondering what was causing it.
It happens with every vehicle which has optics; also, this causes the player to have a "turned out" view in armor while actually being turned in, because the driver "optics" are inaccessible.
I suggest to rename the ticket (put "every vehicle")

Can only repro with Ifrit HMG variant.
Had this problem earlier with Strider VC scope, but was unable to repro.
The problem is intermittent and occurs inconsistently. I just reprod the problem with both HMG and GMG on both cars, but with multiple restarts of editor and mission, the problem will not always occur.
Tried with Strider, and the problem occurred with GMG, but after mission restart, I also could not repro the problem. Problem seems worse with Hunter and Ifrit, and of those two, worse with the Hunter.
It seems that this will stay untouched. :-((

The problem is easy to correct: Some polygons on the left arm don't belong to the "Camo" named selection, that's why when we use a custom texture the flag appears.

Mine crashes as well. There are no steps to reproduce. You just start playing and it will freeze or crash after some time.

Hello Astaroth, sorry for the delayed response, well i think that i've solved my problem. It apeared to be something with my Direct X. I've reinstalled it and all componets, and the crashes was gone... Well i recommend everyone that have this problem try to reinstall or update your direct x. I've played the game for few days, for some hours, and i didn't have any crash. I will keep playing and if i have some problem i'll post here. Answering your question Astaroth, there was no steps to reproduce, i just played the game and it crashes randomly.

Best way is:
1)Move or delete all .rpt, .bidmp, .mdmp files from this folder C:\Users\<Name>\AppData\Local\Arma 3\
2)Start game and play until you will have crash
3)Upload somewhere crashdump files .rpt, .bidmp and .mdmp files
4)Post link where are files uploaded.
