This game needs some major fixes. I'm sick of random spawning in random locations and losing all of my gear.

Just a another example why need lifetime for cars. Or if all parts are removed the car make to ruined.

You have two options to choose from for servers, from the server browser when you start the game: Official and Community.

Idk how can I know it? i'm playing it on steam

according to this Microsoft forum, it's a DX issue...

Error due to overflow of modded PlayerBase
if you make 88 calls to the modded PlayerBase function, the error crashes GetDebugName

1. Remove folder the DayZ in documents
2. Remove mods in steam
3. Reinstall your DayZ

So I can’t shoot guns on official or private with my keyboard but I can melee. If I plug in my Xbox controller, I can shoot with it and aim with the controller and shoot with the mouse. Very confused I’ve changed buttons around unplugged my keyboard and mouse and I get nothing. I am on PC btw.

Stole a Tactical helmet with a Night Vision Goggles.

that error is common with all modded maps.
Also this is for official not editor which is a 3rd party mod

try off Discord, i have same problem and when i close my discord, all works good, but the meaning of such a game drops sharply

This issue still continues, but it did improve since the last update.

This is still an issue, see my first/top-post for all the information - there's LOTS of it.
It's been 9 months and it still happens a couple of times a day atleast.
I see this post is marked as "Need More Info", but no reply asking any question.
The solution by Penta_86 above makes no difference, as I already outlined in my first post.

thank you, sileed. they work kinda if u use the vanilla settings without using the correct tags in mapgrupproto.

I have not played Dayz before on pc, and I just purchased the game from Steam. There has been a prompt that popped up on each server I try to join. The prompt shows " error creating enfusion engine, some of possible errors: GPU not supported, GPU drivers not up to date, DirectX not up to date, other kind of error." I need help to fix this issue.

it seems the lastly added usageflags "lunapark" and also "historical" are not working correctly. they are not used in the vanilla mapgroupproto.xml.
if the "lunapark" tag is used in the mapgroupproto.xml it will spawn items tagged as "prison" and even better - "historical" will spawn items tagged as "contaminated".

so i had a look at the areaflags.map file and the lunaparks usageflags are set correctly.
i dunno why this happens to me for several patches and countless wipes already. this items tagged as "prison" keep coming back to all lunaparks.
im at a point to pay money to anyone who solves this.....
